Critical Factor 1 - Power
Engine oil is a vital component designed to help the engine deliver power when it's needed. It does this by helping it utilise as much energy as possible from the fuel, and contributes to power by maintaining the engine's condition across many components and systems.
Critical Factor 2 - Wear
An engine is made up of precisely engineered metal components that must work together seamlessly. Wear of any engine component causes an increase in friction – reducing efficiency and leading to a higher potential of component failure.
Critical Factor 3 - Fuel Economy
An engine provides improved fuel economy by being as efficient as possible. Engine oil contributes to this by reducing friction between moving parts, and the oil's viscosity is a key attribute to improving fuel economy.
