For three years, Castrol has collaborated with Lunar Outpost to help create the Mission Control supporting their Lunar Voyage 1 mission. Our team has been embedded throughout the journey, capturing every moment and every milestone.

On 14th January, Castrol's Drive Me to the Moon premiered at the iconic Space Centre Houston. The exclusive event gathered influential leaders from across the space industry – engineers, innovators, and visionaries shaping the next era of lunar exploration. It was the perfect setting to unveil a story that celebrates ambition, collaboration, and the drive to push humanity further.

Castrol in Mission Control

In 2024, Lunar Outpost named Castrol the lead Mission Control Centre collaborator for Lunar Voyage 1. Together, we helped build the operational heart of the mission – where planning, analysis, and command sequencing came together to support the MAPP rover’s journey.

Castrol on the Moon

Castrol collaborated with MIT Media Lab to create the AstroAnt – a miniature robotic swarm designed to support the MAPP rover during the LV1 Mission, and to help drive innovative progress for future lunar operations.
