TnCs Oil Check Campaign

CASTROL OIL CHECK KIT CAMPAIGN TERMS (the “Terms”)

ELIGIBILITY

1. This is a promotional campaign ("Campaign"). offering a free Castrol Oil Check Kit (the "Kit") to eligible participants. The Kit comprises of 1 tissue paper to wipe the dipstick, 1 funnel to pour the oil into the oil sump, a pair of gloves to wear whilst checking your oil and a bag to dispose of the items.

2. Participation in this Campaign is free of charge, and no purchase is necessary. 

3. The Campaign is open to residents of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland only.  

4. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. 

5. Each residential address is limited to a single Kit. Multiple entries from the same address will be invalid. 

 

PROMOTER/DATA CONTROLLER 

6. The promoter and data controller of this Campaign is Lubricants UK Limited, whose registered office is at Chertsey Road, Sunbury On Thames, Middlesex, TW16 7BP ("Castrol"). All personal data will be processed in accordance with the GDPR (EU) 2016/679 as well as the Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended. 

 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

7. To receive a Kit, participants must visit the official Campaign websitepage and complete all fields of the online form with their true and accurate personal information, including full name, postal address, and email address.

8. Incomplete or illegible forms will be disqualified.

9. Castrol accepts no responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, or not received for any technical or other reason.

 

ENTRY PERIOD

10. Entries for the Campaign must be received between November 3, 2025 and March 31, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Only entries from eligible entrants that have fully and properly complied with the form and that were received during the Entry Period will be accepted (the "Eligible Entries" and each individually an "Eligible Entry").

11. Castrol reserves the right to end the Campaign at any time, with or without prior notice.

 

THE OFFER

12. The Kit will only be delivered to a valid UK or Republic of Ireland address.

13. The delivery of a Kit is subject to availability and is valid "whilst stocks last." Castrol makes no guarantee on the number of Kits available.

14. The Kit is provided free of charge, with no cost for the product or standard delivery to UK & Republic of Ireland addresses.  

15. The Kit is provided on an "as is" basis and is non-transferable and non-negotiable.

16. No cash alternative is available. The kit is non-transferable and cannot be sold.

17. Castrol is not responsible for any Kits lost, damaged, or delayed in transit.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

18. Participants are deemed to have accepted these Terms. Castrol accepts no responsibility for registration failures due to technical failures, technical malfunctions, hardware or software failures, or any satellite, network or server failures. Neither Castrol nor its affiliates have control over the communication networks and will not be held responsible for registrations that are not transmitted or received late due to excessive online traffic levels, technical malfunctions or other problems.

19. If for any reason internet entry in the Campaign does not go as planned, including, but not limited to: computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the control of Castrol which interferes with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, Castrol reserves the right, at its discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Campaign.

20. Castrol may retain the Kit (s) if it believes, in its absolute discretion, that participants do not meet the eligibility criteria, do not comply with these Terms or the law or have acted in a manner contrary to the requirement of good faith.

21. These Terms and all non-contractual obligations arising in connection with or without them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Any disputes arising or not in connection with this Campaign or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

22. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as a limitation or release of Castrol's liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by Castrol's negligence, or any other liability to the extent that cannot be excluded by law.

23. If Castrol fails to comply with these Terms, Castrol will be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the participant which is a foreseeable result of its breach of these Terms or its lack of reasonable care and skill, but Castrol will not be liable for any loss or damage which is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will occur or if, at the time these Terms were agreed to by the participant, Castrol and the participant knew that it might occur. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms, in no event shall Castrol's contractual liability exceed the value of EUR 125 per incident.

24. Subject to clause 22, Castrol accepts no liability for the acts and omissions of third parties or events beyond the control of Castrol or its affiliates.

25. If any of the terms and conditions are found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms and conditions will remain in effect.

26. All trademarks, text, images and logos relating to Castrol or third parties involved in or used in connection with this Campaign are the exclusive property of Castrol or such third parties and participation in this Campaign does not confer any right on the participant to use them.

27. Proof of your participation does not automatically constitute proof of registration by Castrol.

28. Castrol may, in its sole discretion and at any time, suspend or disqualify a participant, refuse an entry, amend the Terms, in whole or in part, cancel the Campaign (for everyone or for residents of a specific country or territory), substitute the prizes or remove the prizes, in the event of a Force Majeure Event. Participants agree that Castrol or any of its affiliates shall not be liable for in the event of a Force Majeure Event and that the application of such discretion by Castrol shall not entitle participants or others to any financial compensation. Under these Terms, "Force Majeure Event" means, without limitation, any event affecting the operation of the Campaign or any provision of these Terms arising out of or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond the reasonable control of Castrol or its affiliates, including, without limitation, adverse weather conditions, flood, lightning, storm, explosion, earthquake, subsidence, structural damage, epidemic or any other natural disaster, failure or shortage of energy resources, war, military operations, riot, mob movement, strike, blockade or other industrial action, terrorist acts, civil movements, caused by any legislation, regulation, decision or omissions (including failure to submit the necessary authorisations) of any competent national or international government, court or authority.
