A water-based, fire-resistant hydraulic fluid formulated for use in floating drilling and production unit motion compensation systems, including heave compensators and riser, guide line and pod line tensioners. It suits being the operating fluid in closed loop surface blow-out preventer control systems. It is biodegradable and has good oxidation and thermal stability and is extremely resistant to hydrolysis.
The Castrol BioBar range of environmentally responsible synthetic hydraulic oils is an ideal drop-in replacement for conventional mineral oils where the risk of accidental spills or leakage could cause environmental pollution. Selected additives ensure good oxidation stability, good anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties and low aquatic toxicity. BioBar’s high viscosity index and low pour point provides excellent compatibility with elastomeric seal materials.
This HF-D type hydraulic fluid has excellent hydraulic performance and good fire risk protection. It suits applications where temperature limitations or other reasons mean water containing fluids are unsuitable. Designed for use in the electro-hydraulic governor control systems of steam turbines, Anvol PE 46 XC eliminates service problems in high pressure systems resulting from spool valve erosion/corrosion, fluid leakage and loss of response.
Castrol Hyspin AWS hydraulic oil is based on highly refined mineral oil enhanced with a low zinc containing anti-wear system. It has excellent hydrolytic and oxidative stability and a low tendency to produce sludge and deposits. It protects ferrous and yellow metal components found within a hydraulic system from corrosion.
