F1 COMPETITION IN UK TERMS AND CONDITIONS (the “Terms”)

Please note that this offer is promoted by Castrol, so Amazon UK has no responsibility for, or control over, the offer. Amazon UK is not the promoter of this Competition (as defined below) and is not a party to the Terms, which are binding exclusively between Castrol and each Competition entrant. Amazon UK has no responsibility for the administration of this Competition, the collection or processing of entrant data, the selection of winners, the provision of prizes, or any other aspect of this promotion. All queries must be directed to Castrol directly.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

1. The “Castrol F1 Experience” campaign competition (the “Competition”) is open to residents in the UK.

2. All entrants in the Competition must be at least 18 years old. Winners will be required to acknowledge they understand the HSSE safety briefing to move safely around the experience. Castrol reserves the right to require documentary verification of all the conditions above and to verify the age of entrants. 

3. Only one entry is permitted per person, and duplicate entries will not be valid. 

4. The Competition is not open to employees, consultants, contractors, agents of Castrol, workshops, local independent workshops, franchised workshop, or original equipment manufacturers or any of its respective Affiliates, their families or anyone else professionally associated with the Competition. For the purpose of these Terms, “Affiliate” of Castrol (as defined below) shall mean Castrol’s parent undertaking or its subsidiary undertaking, or a subsidiary of its parent undertaking or any other person controlled by or under the same control either directly or indirectly. Parent undertaking and subsidiary undertaking will have the meanings attributed to them in section 1162 of the Companies Act 2006.

 

PROMOTER / DATA CONTROLLER

 

5. The promoter and data controller of this Competition is Lubricants UK Limited, registered office is at Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex, TW16 7BP (“Castrol”). For any queries, contact with amazoncs@castrol.com

6. Each winner may bring one (1) guest to the Prize event.

 

THE PRIZE

 

7. All entrants who submit a valid entry (as described at clause 13 below) will be entered into the Competition for a chance for one entrant to win two tickets to an Audi Revolut F1® Team VIP Experience with Castrol at the Italian race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Milan, Italy (the “Prize”). The Prize includes:

  • Hospitality passes, specifically access to the circuit Autodromo Nazionale Monza and Castrol Race Club on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September 2026 which provides a covered grandstand seat.  
  • A paddock tour, which will take place within the Support Paddock
  • Return economy flights from the United Kingdom. The exact airport and flight times will be determined once the winner’s requirements are known.
  • Two nights’ accommodation in a 4-star hotel selected by Castrol. Full hotel details will be shared with winners in advance of travel; however, winners will not have the ability to change the hotel. 
  • A total of 6 meals throughout the programme, specifically: 
    • Dinner on the arrival day, 
    • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on day 2, and 
    • Breakfast and lunch on the final day  
  • Local event transfers between the hotel and event venue on each day plus return airport transfers. 

The programme will run from 4 to 6 September 2026. There is a total of (1) Prize available across the Entry Period, consisting of two (2) tickets per Prize as described above.

8. Guests must meet the same requirements as an entrant under clause 2 above and, among other things, must therefore be aged 18 or older.

9. Prizes exclude travel to the airport in the UK, airport parking and any personal expenses, for example food or drinks charged to the hotel room. 

10. Prize details are correct at the date of publication and Castrol reserves the right to substitute any element of the Prize with a prize of a similar nature or value as reasonably determined by Castrol should the Prize become unavailable for any reason whatsoever.

 

DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

 

11. With the exception that the winner’s name may be published for advertising purposes in accordance with clause 22 & 23, Castrol and its Affiliates will use entrants’ personal information solely for the purpose of administering the Competition and notifying winners in accordance with Castrol’s Privacy Statement (https://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/home/privacy-statement.html). The winner’s name may be published taking into account Castrol’s legitimate interests in the public promotion of the competition [We understand that the legal basis will be a legitimate interest, which will be reviewed if the legitimate interest is another, e.g., freely given consent]. The processing of entrants’ personal information is necessary to conduct the competition in accordance with these Terms, in the interests of the entrants. [We understand that the legal basis will be the performance of the contract; this will be reviewed if the legitimate interest is different, e.g., legitimate interests]. If you do not agree to this use of your data, we invite you not to participate in this Competition. By participating in this Competition, you understand that Castrol processes your personal data as described above. 

12. The use of Prizes provided by a third party shall be governed by the terms and conditions of any separate agreement with that third party, which shall stipulate that the Prize winner fully acknowledges and accepts (i) any risks arising from the use of the Prize; and (ii) that Castrol and its Affiliates accept no liability whatsoever. Castrol and its Affiliates accept no liability in relation to any Prize provided by a third party, including where Castrol or its Affiliates have been advised of the possibility of such damages or could have foreseen them. Prizes must be used in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations.

 

HOW TO ENTER

 

13. To be eligible to enter the Competition, entrants must visit the following website: https://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/home/experience-the-thrill-of-formula-1-with-castrol.html. Entrants must provide i) confirmation that they have proof of purchase of a Castrol engine oil product from Amazon during the Entry Period and ii) the relevant contact details requested in the form displayed on the campaign homepage. Winners will be selected at random. Entrants must complete all mandatory fields on the form to enter the Competition. Entries will not be complete until entrants are redirected to the “Thank you” page confirming that their entry has been received. By entering the Competition, entrants acknowledge that failure to comply with these Terms will result in immediate disqualification from the Competition (the “Entry Process”).

 

ENTRY PERIOD

 

14. Entries for the Competition must be received between 30 April 2026 and 14 June 2026 (the “Entry Period”). Only entries that have complied fully and correctly with the Entry Process and that have been received during the Entry Period will be accepted (the “Eligible Entries” and each individually an “Eligible Entry”). 

15. Entries received outside the Entry Period will be invalid.

 

 

CHOOSING THE WINNER

 

16. The winner of a Prize will be drawn, at random, from all Eligible Entries after 15 June 2026. Castrol’s decision is final, and binding and no discussions and/or correspondence will be entered into in relation to any of the winners of the Competition or any aspect of the Competition.

 

NOTIFYING THE WINNER

 

17. A Prize, if won by an entrant, must be taken as offered, may not be deferred, is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or other thing of equivalent value. Each entrant is only eligible to win one (1) Prize under the Competition. 

18. Castrol will notify winners via the email address specified by the entrant on the submitted entry form, after the 16 June 2026. 

19. Winners must confirm acceptance of the Prize by replying to the email received within thirty (30) days from the first notification email sent by Castrol. If a Prize is refused, unclaimed, or if Castrol does not receive confirmation of acceptance within this period, or if the winner cannot be contacted using the details provided, the winner will forfeit their right to the Prize. In such circumstances, Castrol reserves the right to declare the Prize void or to award it to another participant selected in accordance with these Terms. The new winner will be notified in the same manner. Neither Castrol nor any of its Affiliates shall have any liability towards a winner if the winner is unable to make use of their Prize.

20. Winners and their guests are responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documents, travel insurance, and any required visas, health certificates, or other documentation necessary to undertake any travel forming part of the Prize.

 

OTHER TERMS

 

21. Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these Terms upon completing the Entry Process and they consent to the processing of their personal data by Castrol for the purposes of administering the Competition. Castrol accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind. Neither Castrol nor any Affiliate of Castrol has any control over communications networks and shall not be responsible for entries lost in transmission, or received late due to high online traffic levels, for technical malfunction or otherwise.

22. By entering the Competition, the winner agrees to take part in any reasonable associated publicity relating to the Competition without payment when required. Castrol further reserves the right to make available information that a valid award took place for the Competition, namely the name, county, and country of residence of the winner, as set out in clause 22 below. 

23. Save that the winner’s name may be published for publicity purposes in accordance with clause 18 above, entrants’ personal information will only be used by Castrol and its Affiliates for the purposes of administering the Competition and notifying the winner and in accordance with Castrol’s Privacy Statement (https://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/home/privacy-statement.html). If you do not agree with the use of your data in this way, please do not enter this Competition. In entering this Competition, you consent to Castrol processing your personal data. 

24. If, for any reason, the internet-based entry to the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Castrol which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Competition, Castrol reserves the right, at its discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Competition. 

25. Castrol may withhold the relevant Prize if it considers in its absolute discretion that the entrant does not meet the eligibility criteria, is in breach of these Terms, or laws or has acted contrary to the requirement of good faith.

26. These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising out of or in connection with either the Competition or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

27. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as limiting or excluding Castrol’s liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by Castrol’s negligence, or any other liability to the extent the same may not be excluded as a matter of law.

28. If Castrol fails to comply with these Terms, Castrol will be responsible for loss or damage suffered by the entrant that is a foreseeable result of its breach of these Terms or its failure to use reasonable care and skill, but Castrol will not be responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it would happen or if, at the time these Terms have been accepted by the entrant, both Castrol and the entrant knew it might happen. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms, Castrol’s liability shall in no event exceed, the value of £250 per incident.

29. Subject to clause 23, Castrol does not accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of third parties or events beyond Castrol or its Affiliates’ control.

30. If any of these Terms is determined to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable, then the remaining terms and conditions shall continue in full force and effect.

31. All trademarks, text, images, and logos relating to Castrol, or third parties involved in this Competition and used in relation to it, are the exclusive property of Castrol or those third parties, and participation in the Competition does not confer any rights to an entrant in or over or grant any right to use these. 

32. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt of entry by Castrol.

33. Any tax which an entrant may be required to pay under the laws of any relevant jurisdiction on any Prize awarded pursuant to the Competition shall be the responsibility of that entrant.

34. Castrol may, at its sole discretion and at any time, suspend or disqualify an entrant, reject any application, amend the Terms or any of them, cancel the Competition (either in whole or for residents of a specific country or territory) substitute the Prize and/or withdraw the Prize, by reason of any event of force majeure. Entrants agree that no liability shall attach to Castrol or any Affiliate of Castrol because of an event of force majeure and that the exercise of such discretion by Castrol shall not result in any compensation being payable or paid to any entrant or other person. In these Terms, the expression “event of force majeure” shall mean not limited to any event affecting the performance of the Competition or any provision of these Terms arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents which are beyond the reasonable control of Castrol and/or its Affiliates, including without limitation, any abnormally inclement weather, flood, lightning, storm, explosion, earthquake, subsidence, structural damage, epidemic or other natural physical disaster, failure or shortage of power supplies, war, military operations, riot, crowd disorder, strike, lockouts or other industrial action, terrorist action, civil commotion, by reason of any legislation, regulation, ruling or omissions (including failure to grant any necessary permissions) of any relevant government, court or any competent national or international authority.
