Driving for change requires a team effort. That’s why Castrol and the Los Angeles Rams are partnering to launch new initiatives that help promote sustainability across the team’s operations, home and away. With Castrol’s support as an official sustainability partner of the Los Angeles Rams, the Rams are taking steps designed to reduce their environmental impact, because small steps together can make a difference.
“The old adage goes, ‘Wherever you go, leave the world better than how you found it,’” said Rams Receiver Robert Woods. “As someone who has spent nearly my whole life in California, I’m proud to be part of an organization that takes serious steps to not only clean up its own backyard, but also contribute to improving the communities we visit throughout the season.”
The initiative is part of Castrol’s ongoing efforts to support its partners in achieving their lower carbon ambitions. Earlier this year, Castrol announced the first carbon neutral race team alongside Roush Fenway Racing and driver Ryan Newman. As a symbolic passing-of-the-torch and mutual sign of appreciation for sustainability, Newman welcomed Woods and the Rams in a swapping of the helmets following their local clean-ups with Keep America Beautiful. Robert Woods is bringing awareness to the importance of reducing our carbon footprints, leading by example, and partnering with Castrol to demonstrate how everyone can take small steps to help create a more sustainable future.
