Castrol Spheerol™ BTX 2 (previously called BTX Grease) is a high-performance grease developed for use in a wide range of mining and industrial applications. Spheerol BTX 2 uses a unique combination of extreme pressure and antiwear agents, corrosion and oxidation inhibitors in a lithium complex base.

 

Spheerol BTX 2 is engineered to provide outstanding protection of ball and rolling bearings in high speed and load applications. It is also suitable for general chassis greasing, ball joints, constant velocity joints and other sliding surfaces and plain bearing lubrication. It is also used in applications like Jack shafts, Bucket pins and Vibrating shafts.

Spheerol Ultratak

Spheerol Ultratak

Castrol Spheerol™ Ultratak is a multipurpose lithium complex grease which has special properties in wet environments. A unique synthetic polymer incorporated into Spheerol Ultratak grease gives it the ability to build adhesion and tackiness in the presence of water. This ability can dramatically decrease the water "washout" associated with standard greases. In addition to this, Spheerol Ultratak grease also has excellent resistance to corrosion, even in salt water conditions. Spheerol Ultratak's outstanding load carrying and antiwear properties protects equipment operating under a wide range of conditions.

 

Spheerol Ultratak is suitable for many applications such as plain bearings, ball and roller bearings, ball joints and bucket pins. It outperforms standard greases in areas where excellent resistance to corrosion and water washout are required.

SBX RANGE

SBX RANGE

Lithium complex grease primarily designed to meet the SKF requirements for sugar mill roller bearing grease.

 

The extreme load capacity makes it ideal for bucket pins, plain bearings and other heavy duty applications in the mining, sugar milling and general industrial industries.

 

Suitable for low speed bearings and some open gear applications.

 

The 5% molybdenum disulphide in Castrol SBX Grease meets certain minimum requirements of OEM’s such as Caterpillar and Komatsu.

HYSPIN ZZ RANGE

HYSPIN ZZ RANGE

The Castrol Hyspin™ ZZ hydraulic oil range of lubricants are formulated without zinc containing additives, based on a
carefully selected additive system, designed to meet and exceed the most exacting performance standards.

 

The Hyspin ZZ range are formulated for applications requiring anti-wear and superior oxidation performance and are particularly suitable for hydraulic systems using vane and piston pumps where elevated operating temperatures are encountered. They are formulated for use in severely stressed systems in which high levels of anti-wear performanceand/or ultra fine filtration are required. They have been proven to be resistant to the effects of ‘dieseling’ in highly stressed systems such as plastic injection moulding and fatigue testing equipment where the application leads to rapid breakdown of more conventional products.The range is fully compatible with elastomer materials commonly used for static and dynamic seals, such as nitrile, silicone and fluorinated (e.g. Viton) polymers.

Magna RD

Castrol Magna RD Range Oils (previously called Rock Drill™ Oils) consist of selected mineral oils specially compounded with lubricity fortifiers, corrosions inhibitors and tackiness additives.

 

Mining, quarrying, constructions, roadworks, tunneling and excavations. Magna RD oils are recommended for the following well-known companies including Gardner-Denver, Atlas Copco and SIG. However, the correct grade should be selected against specific equipment and for local operating conditions. Most manufacturers include selection charts intheir handbooks to assist in the selection of the correct grade.
