Why does oil endurance matter?

Quite simply, oil endurance is critical to ensure the performance and protection of your engine.

Modern engines are built to push limits, running hitter and harder than before. This intense heat however leads to oxidation, deposit build-up and viscosity breakdown- a function of mechanical shear that moving engine parts put on the lubricant. This shear breaks the oil down at the molecular level and reduces the initial viscosity.

The risk? An increased probability of metal-to-metal contact which compromises the ability of the engine oil to provide the engine protection drivers need when demanding maximum performance from their vehicles.
