Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC wins at the Australian Brand Awards

Date: 3 August 2018

Castrol Australia has been recognised as  the Winner in The Australian Brand Awards 2018 for ECO INNOVATION.

Currently in their second year, The Australian Brand Awards have been established to identify, recognise and reward Australia’s most innovative consumer products.

Castrol ANZ Marketing Director, Ben Rose, says the award recognises Castrol’s achievements in the research and development of the recently launched Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC engine oil.

For nearly 120 years globally, Castrol has been at the forefront of pioneering technologies that benefit our customers. To have the Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC engine oil recognised in the category of ECO-INNOVATION  further inspires us to continue this pursuit of innovation.

Full synthetic Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC engine oil has been developed with unique, plant derived base oil produced from sustainably sourced sugarcane. This allows the product to deliver high performance, while offering the environmental benefit of renewability when compared with petroleum-sourced base oils.

“An Australian-first, we’re proud to be able to deliver a product in Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC that offers a more sustainable alternative to traditional engine oils without any compromise on performance or protection,” added Mr Rose.

“With technology rapidly evolving, it is essential that brands remain ahead of the curve through leading-edge research and development in order to remain competitive,” Australian Brand Awards, Program Director, Tara Johnston said.

“Companies that have adopted an innovation culture to improve and innovate their consumer products have been recognised in this year’s ABA100.”

“The Australian Brand Awards are proud to acknowledge the role of these innovative consumer product companies for the research and development of innovative products and services,” Ms Johnston added.

Each year the ABA100 Winners are recognised for their commitment to business and product innovation and for their achievements in transforming business practices and end user experiences.

The program provides notable opportunities for high-performing organisations which develop innovative consumer products to be acknowledged both nationally and internationally. The national winners are benchmarked in the international chapter of the program at The World Brand Awards whereby participants are provided with the unique opportunity to benchmark themselves against the top performers globally.
