As commercial vehicles become heavier and the need for durability increases, axle fluids are more and more critical for vehicle reliability. Getting the right oil for your vehicle is key to ensuring your rear axle operates as designed and gets the maximum protection under demanding conditions.
In response to that, Castrol has designed a range of axle and universal fluids that can help the vehicle’s axle system perform at its best. Our product range includes fully synthetic and advanced mineral products which have been designed to offer enhanced protection and help prolong component life.
Always consult your vehicle handbook to make sure you find the correct fluid for your axles.

TRANSMAX Axle Long Life 75W-90
Castrol TRANSMAX Axle Long Life 75W-90
Full synthetic rear axle fluid, formulated with Smooth Drive Technologyᵀᴹ, for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Approved by MAN, Scania and ZF and specially designed and approved by BMW for use in all BMW final drives fitted with conventional (non limited slip) differentials.
Meets or exceeds industry standards:
- API GL-5
- MAN 342 S1
- ZF TE-ML 05A, 12B, 17B, 19C, 21A
