Synthetic Oil: Smarter, Stronger Protection

Your manual might not insist on it, but your engine will thank you.

Synthetic Oil: Smarter, Stronger Protection

Even if your car doesn't specifically require synthetic engine oil, switching to it is one of the best ways to protect your engine, especially in tough driving conditions.

Why Go Synthetic?

Full synthetic oils give your engine better protection than mineral or part-synthetic oils. They perform well from start-up, resist breakdown at high temperatures and stay stronger for longer.

They’re especially effective when:

  • Driving in very hot or cold weather
  • Towing heavy loads
  • Sitting in stop-start traffic

Better for Performance & Efficiency

Depending on your car's recommended viscosity, synthetic oil can:

  • Improve fuel economy
  • Enhance engine performance
  • Extend oil change intervals

What About Older Cars?

Most modern engines already use synthetic oil but even older cars can benefit, as long as they meet manufacturer requirements.

Note: For vehicles built before 1995, speak to Castrol Technical Support before switching.
