Terms and Conditions 

Promoter

Australia: Castrol Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 87 008 459 407), having its principal office at Level 17, 717 Bourke Street, Docklands VIC 3008.

New Zealand: Castrol New Zealand Limited (NZBN 9429049090659), having its principal office at Level 2, Stantec Building, 105 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, Auckland 1023, New Zealand.

(each a Promoter, together the Promoters).

Promotion Period

If you enter in Australia: 12.01am (AEDT) on 07/12/2025 to 11.59pm (AEDT) on 03/01/2026.

If you enter in New Zealand: 12.01am (NZDT) on 07/12/2025 to 11.59pm (NZDT) on 03/01/2026.

Who can enter?

The Promotion is open to the employees of the Supercheap Auto stores listed in Appendix 1 (Stores) and Supercheap Auto Area Managers (Area Managers) across Australia and New Zealand.

By entering this competition, the Store Manager and/or Area Manager (as relevant) warrants they have obtained all relevant consents from all employees to enter the competition. 

Who can’t enter?

 

Directors, officers, management and employees (and their immediate families) of:

(a) the Promoter;

(b) any companies or Commonwealth, State, Territory (as relevant in Australia) or local government agencies where the rules or guidelines applicable to such company or agency prohibit receipt of a prize; and

(c) the agencies, companies or participating premises associated with this Promotion.

What does a Store need to do to enter?

For a Store to automatically receive an entry, during the Promotion Period, the Store Managers entering of behalf of the Store must:

(a) work with the other employees of the Store to:

(i) meet or exceed their Store’s sales volume target of Castrol product during the Promotion Period (Set Target);

(ii) display (and keep on display throughout the Promotion Period) all of the in-store Point of Sale (POS) promotional material for the “$100K Supercharge With Castrol Promotion” (as provided by the Promoter) in a creative way; and

(b) take a photo of the display during the Promotion Period which the Store Manager must send in an email to their Area Manager during the Promotion Period,

(the Store Entry Requirements).

A representative of the Promoter may also attend Stores to confirm whether all of the Entry Requirements listed above have been successfully fulfilled. If the Promoter is not satisfied that the Store has fulfilled the Store Entry Requirements (whether assessed on the basis of a Store visit or otherwise) or that the Store’s sales or sales figures have been manipulated or artificially inflated, the Store may be disqualified in the Promoter's absolute discretion.

Once the Promoter determines that a Store has successfully fulfilled the Store Entry Requirements listed above, that Store will automatically receive an entry into the Promotion.

For the avoidance of doubt, refunds and returns recorded during the Promotion Period will not affect Promotion Period sales for Stores or Area Managers.

What does an Area Manager need to do to enter?

To automatically receive an entry, an Area Manager must, during the Promotion Period:

(a) meet or exceed their area’s Set Target of Castrol product sales volume during the Promotion Period;

(b) ensure Stores within the Area Manager’s area display (and keep on display throughout the Promotion Period) all of the in-store POS Promotional material of the “$100K Supercharge With Castrol Promotion” (as provided by the Promoter) in a creative way; and

(c) share photos of the POS displays from each Store in the Area Manager’s area with the Supercheap Auto Category team,

(the Area Manager Entry Requirements).

The Supercheap Auto Category team will collate the data to be presented to the Supercheap Auto Retail Operations team.

A representative of the Promoter may also attend Stores within an Area Manager’s Area to see if all of the Area Manager Entry Requirements listed above have been successfully fulfilled by those Stores. If the Promoter is not satisfied that a Store has fulfilled the Area Manager Entry Requirements (whether assessed on the basis of a Store visit or otherwise), or that the Store’s sales or sales figures have been manipulated or artificially inflated, the Area Manager responsible for said Store(s) may be disqualified in the Promoter's absolute discretion.

Once the Promoter determines that an Area Manager has successfully fulfilled the Area Manager Entry Requirements listed above, the Area Manager will automatically receive an entry into the Promotion.

How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen?

This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in how a winner will be selected.

Store Winners

There will be 15 winning Stores, being 3 Stores from each Store Pool set out in Appendix 1.

All entries in a Store Pool will be reviewed and judged by the respective Promoter, who will determine the 3 winning Stores in a Store Pool as those Stores that:

(a) successfully fulfil the Store Entry Requirements; and

(b) record the highest percentage increase of growth (rounded to two decimal places) in sales volume of Castrol products sold by the Store for the Promotion Period in the relevant Store Pool, compared to the Set Target.

The 3 winning Stores from each Store Pool will be ranked in order from the highest to lowest percentage increase in growth (rounded to two decimal places) in sales volume of Castrol products sold. That is, the Store with:

(a) the highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products for the relevant Store Pool will win the 1st place prize;

(b) the second highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products for the relevant Store Pool will win the 2nd place prize; and

(c) the third highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products for the relevant Store Pool will win the 3rd place prize.

If a tie breaker is required due to 2 or more Stores within a Store Pool receiving the same percentage growth figure, the winner between them will be the Store that activated the “$100K Supercharge With Castrol Promotion” in-store POS material in the most creative way. This will be judged by the relevant Promoter in its sole discretion, upon review of the photo the Store took of their display during the Promotion Period, based on creativity, originality and brand suitability.

Area Manager Winners

There will be 4 winning Area Managers in this Promotion across Australia and New Zealand. All entries will be reviewed and judged by the Promoter, who will select the 4 winning Area Managers that:

(a) successfully fulfil the Area Manager Entry Requirements above; and 

(b) record the highest percentage increase of growth (rounded to two decimal places) in sales volume of Castrol products sold in their area for the Promotion Period, compared with the Set Target.

The 4 Area Managers will be ranked in order from the highest to lowest percentage increase in growth (rounded to two decimal places) in sales volume of Castrol products sold.

That is, the Area Manager with:

(a) the highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products will win the 1st place prize;

(b) the second highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products will win the 2nd place prize; and

(c) the third highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products will win the 3rd place prize.

(d) the fourth highest percentage increase of growth in sales volume of Castrol products will win the 4th place prize.

If a tie breaker is required due to 2 or more Area Managers receiving the same percentage growth figure, the winner between them will be the Area Manager that activated the “$100K Supercharge With Castrol Promotion” in-store POS material in the most creative way. This will be judged by the relevant Promoter in its sole discretion upon review of the photo the Stores took of their display during the Promotion period, based on creativity, originality and brand suitability.

What can a Store/Area Manager win?

Store Winners

There are 3 prizes – 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place - to be won per Store Pool, as set out in the table below. There are five Store Pools.

Each prize consists of one “The Super Retail Group Gift Card” per eligible Store employee (up to a maximum of 25), valued as follows:

Store prizes will be delivered to the Store Manager of each winning Store, to be distributed to the relevant winning Stores’ employees, in the Store Manager’s discretion (subject to these terms).

The Promoter will not be liable for any decisions regarding which Store employees receive a prize. However, the Store Manager may only provide prizes to Store employees who are employed by the Store for the entirety of the Promotion Period. Store employees must have worked a minimum of 12 hours per week during the Promotion Period to be eligible to receive a prize. For the avoidance of doubt, each eligible Store employee may only receive one gift card.

Area Managers

There are 4 prizes to be won for Area Managers, as set out in the table below.

Each prize is 1x “The Super Retail Group Gift Card” per winning Area Manager, valued as follows:

Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming The Super Retail Group Gift Cards are not included. Redemption of the The Super Retail Group Gift Card is subject to the terms and conditions associated with the The Super Retail Group Gift Card located at www.srgcorporategiftcards.com.au/CMS/Page/giftcardterms (for Australian Entrants) and www.srgcorporategiftcards.co.nz/CMS/Page/giftcardterms (for New Zealand Entrants).

The dollar value means AUD for Australian winners; and the dollar value means NZD for New Zealand winners.

Total prize pool

The total prize pool is $55,900 AUD for Australia and $14,650 NZD for New Zealand.

How many times can a Store/Area Manager enter?

Stores and Area Managers can only enter this Promotion once. To avoid doubt, only one Store employee may enter this Promotion per Store.

How and when will the winner/s be informed? The Store Manager of a winning Store and winning Area Managers will be notified by phone and in writing within 30 business days of the end of the Promotion Period.

Unclaimed Prizes

Prize claim date: 5pm (AEDT) on 01/03/2026 for Australia and 5pm (NZDT) on 01/03/2026 for New Zealand.

If a prize has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will re-award the relevant prize/s to the Store and/or Area Manager who submitted the next best valid entry/ies for that Entry Period who have not already been awarded a prize.

Collection and use of your personal information

If you are or your Store is a winner, the Promoter may ask you to take part in some publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity. You agree that you will only permit Store employees to take part in publicity, photography and other promotional activity in respect of this Promotion (if any) where you have obtained their consent to the Promoter handling their information in accordance with these terms.

The Promoter collects personal information about you in order to conduct and manage the Promotion. If the personal information requested is not provided, you may not be able to participate.

The Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at https://www.castrol.com/en_au/australia/home/privacy-statement.html (for Australian entrants) and https://www.castrol.com/en_nz/new-zealand/home/privacy-statement.html)) (For New Zealand entrants) states:

(a) how you can seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds; and

(b) how you can complain about a breach of privacy and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint. 

By entering and providing personal information, you consent to the use of your personal information in this manner and you consent to receive email or SMS messages from the Promoter without any functional unsubscribe facility if they relate primarily to the conduct of this Promotion. For Australian entrants, your personal information may also be disclosed to overseas locations such as New Zealand, the USA, the UK, Malaysia, the Philippines and India. 

For New Zealand entrants:

Additional uses: In addition to the uses outlined in the Privacy Policy, the Promoter may share collected personal information with the Promoter’s franchised dealers, related companies, agents, contractors or Promotional partners for the purpose of conducting and managing the Promotion. The Promoter may also use your personal information to help improve its goods and services.

Where the Promoter holds personal information about you that it has collected from different sources, the Promoter may combine this personal information into a single record or collection of linked records.

By entering and providing personal information, an entrant consents to the use of their personal information in this manner.

1. These Terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined in the table above. Information about prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, you accept these Terms and Conditions.


Entry

 

2. Your entry must be received during the Promotion Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/aliases, or if you (or any other Store member related to your entry) manipulate sales and/or returns during the Promotion Period, you may be disqualified.

Prizes


3. Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by you or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. If you forfeit the prize or any element of the prize for whatever reason, you will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute. Prize/s are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Promoter, including validity periods.


4. The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share a prize.


General


5. Any material failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).


6. You must, if required by the Promoter, sign disclaimer and release forms provided by the Promoter in favour of the Promoter and other parties before taking the prize. If you do not sign, your entry will be deemed invalid and you will lose any entitlement to a prize.


7. If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions materially your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your entries and/or verifying your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.


8. You must not:


(a) tamper with the entry process (including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, artificially inflating or manipulating sales, or any other means to circumvent the entry process);


(b) engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion;


(c) act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;


(d) do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion;


(e) breach any law; or


(f) behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate


9. The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control.


10. If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this Promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Promotion is final.


11. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes (and elements of prizes) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.


12. If this Promotion cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control (for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like), the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the Promotion or disqualify affected entries/entrants.


13. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this Promotion results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.


Liability


14. For New Zealand entrants: You may have consumer rights under statute including under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) (Non-Excludable Guarantees) which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this Promotion and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights.


15. For New Zealand entrants: Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law), including liability under the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoters and the agencies and companies associated with this Promotion are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including loss of opportunity), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this Promotion or any prize, whether such loss is direct, indirect, special or consequential, including (without limitation):


(i) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoters’ control);


(ii) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;


(iii) any prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters;


(iv) any variation of the prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;


(v) any tax liability incurred by an entrant; and


(vi) use of, or participation in, the prize by any person

 

16. For Australian entrants: You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this Promotion and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights. See www.accc.gov.au for more information about those rights.


17. For Australian entrants: Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this Promotion are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this Promotion or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).


18. Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this Promotion are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, or for any damage that occurs to displayed prize/s (where relevant), due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control. Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia and New Zealand.


19. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram and X. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to any social media platform. You completely release any relevant social media platforms from any and all liability.
