Coolants for commercial vehicles
As commercial vehicle engines run hotter than before, engine cooling systems need to work harder. Materials that make up cooling systems vary from vehicle to vehicle, so it is vital to make sure that you use the right coolant for each application.
Our coolant range offers excellent protection in commercial vehicle engines and features extended-life products that maintain performance even under extreme conditions.
CASTROL RADICOOL
This coolant can be mixed using 33% concentration with purified waterto give frost protection to -18°C, however it is recommended to use a 50% dilution to provide optimum corrosion protection and freeze protection down to -36°C. At these concentrations this coolant will provides year round protection. To maintain optimum performance this product should be replaced after 1 year.
In the majority of cases, coolants are not compatible and should not be mixed with other coolants unless directed by the equipment manufacturer. If using Castrol Radicool for the first time, ensure thatthe cooling system has been adequately flushed with clean water before use.

CASTROL RADICOOL SF-0
Castrol Radicool SF-O is a long-life coolant based on monoethyleneglycol. It is suitable for use in a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks and buses, for both petrol and diesel engines. In contrast to traditional antifreeze coolants. Castrol Radicool SF-O does not contain Amines, Nitrites, Phosphates,Silicates or other inorganic inhibitors. It is a silicate free concentrate antifreeze, formulated using advanced organic acid technology (OAT).
Castrol Radicool SF-O should be diluted with deionised water to between 33% and 50% concentration.For optimum performance it is recommended that a 50% mixture in water is used. To give freezingprotection from -18°C to -36°C.
For maximum performance Castrol Radicool SF-O should not be mixed with other coolants. It istherefore recommended that cooling systems should be drained and flushed before re-filling withdiluted Castrol Radicool SF-O.

Castrol Radicool SF-O is suitable for use in mixed fleets.
