The challenge:
A leading manufacturer’s plant in Birmingham was experiencing multiple issues in three of their shaker gearboxes, including oil leakages, spills and gear wear, significantly increasing operational costs. These issues were due to the previously used suboptimal oil, which also caused one of the three gearboxes to be replaced due to high amounts of wear. The client wanted to minimise oil spillage while simultaneously increasing the gearbox’s life.
The solution:
After a client requirement analysis, we recommended GM 969/320 leak-resistant oil. We recommended the oil with the following criteria in mind:
- Reduce oil leakages
- Increase gearbox life
