BP Turbo Oil 2197 is a 5 cSt High Thermal Stability (HTS) synthetic lubricant for use in aero-derived gas turbines. It has exceptional high temperature cleanliness in vapor mist and liquid film areas and outstanding oxidative, thermal and hydrolytic stability. It suits the most demanding existing turbines and new generation turbines just entering service.
A synthetic hydrocarbon based lubricant developed to lubricate industrial gas turbines, gas compressors and other rotating equipment which face high temperatures or where the critical nature of the plant demands a premium lubricant for reliable operation with extended periods between shut-downs.
Primarily intended for use in enclosed and sealed systems, Castrol Perfecto HT 5 is based on a solvent refined, high viscosity index mineral oil selected for high thermal and oxidation stability. It can be used at lower temperatures, in open air systems. Its low viscosity achieves the high heat transfer rates of turbulent flow conditions.
The Perfecto T range is based on highly refined mineral oils with additives to improve their high oxidation stability and protect against corrosion of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Primarily intended to lubricate steam and gas turbines, they can also be used in water turbines and power turbines based on aero-derived gas turbines.
Rust and oxidation inhibitors enhance quality mineral oils to ensure Perfecto X turbine oils give excellent protection at high temperatures. Recommended for industrial gas turbines where the lubricant may be exposed to very high localized temperatures, they also suit steam turbines and Combined Cycle generating systems where steam and gas turbines share a common supply.
Perfecto XEP turbine lubricants contain anti-wear additives to give additional load carrying properties. They are recommended for industrial gas turbines where the lubricant is likely to be exposed to very high localized temperatures.
Perfecto XPG high performance lubricants have thermal and oxidative stability and enhanced load carrying properties. Intended primarily for large gas turbines, it can also be used in any large items of rotating equipment where a long lubricant life and clean operation is desired.
BP Turbo Oil 2380 is a 5 cSt synthetic lubricant for all aero-derived gas turbines used in offshore, marine and power generation. It meets US military specification MIL-PRF-23699 STD, and UK military specification DEF STAN 91-101. It combines thermal and oxidation stability, load carrying capacity, lower volatility and has excellent low temperature flow characteristics.
BP Turbo Oil 2389 is a 3 cSt synthetic lubricant that meets US military specification MIL-PRF-7808L grade and incorporates a level of technology from Type II (5 cSt) commercial turbine lubricants. It combines thermal and oxidation stability of BP Turbo Oil 2380, with the ability to flow at extremely low environmental temperatures.
