GRACO’S MATRIX TOTAL FLUID MANAGEMENT IS A PREMIER INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEM

EQUIPMENT NEWS / Post date:
7 January 2017

In recent years, lubricant inventory control and management has grown from being a desire to more of a necessity in order to ensure proper record keeping, reporting, and budgeting.

While product access and dispensing control have been available for quite some time through simplified systems, recording usage and inventory measures have been limited to manual documentation. Graco was the first lubrication equipment provider to offer a complete fluid management system that not only controls dispensing, but records usage and reports directly to a personal computer.

Graco’s Matrix Total Fluid Management System is a complete system that uses up-to-date technology to operate as a wireless system.  This system allows parts and service managers to select the product to be dispensed, where the product is to be dispensed, and attach the work order number to the job with many other customized options available.

All the information from the dispensing activity is automatically stored in the Matrix database and can be accessed at any time by authorized personnel, which allows them to run customized reports to track usage of specific products and/or simply checking bulk tank levels. Matrix also allows users to run reports including specific technician usage, tank-level monitoring, year-to-date usage, plus many additional features.

The tank-level monitoring feature can be customized to communicate with your distributor to send an automated email requesting product delivery when the tank level reaches a pre-determined low level.  It can also communicate with a waste oil company when a waste oil tank reaches a pre-determined high level.

There is no need for a standalone PC to operate a Matrix system, as most systems are installed to existing computers… as long as at least one USB port can be dedicated to the system.  Typically, a Matrix system can be installed and ready for use in an existing facility in one day.

If you would like to learn more about adding a Graco Matrix Total Fluid Management System to your facility, please contact Mickey Wofford at the Castrol® Equipment Dept. at (704) 999-0249.
