National Carriers, a new Castrol® customer, is a diversified motor carrier servicing all 48 states in the continental U.S. with transportation offerings that include refrigerated, livestock, and logistics services. Rhonda Brown of Castrol distributor Commercial Distributing, Inc. (CDI) and Kevin Osborn of Castrol were able to meet with National Carriers’ fleet manager, Noe Hernandez, and a lead mechanic.
After speaking to them at length about VECTON Long Drain 10W-30 CK-4 premium diesel engine oil, the Castrol team was able to determine that there was an opportunity related to excessive add-oil required between maintenance services and the need to frequently service diesel particulate filters (DPF).
By utilizing a VECTON case study, presenting the Castrol Labcheck® fluid analysis program, and discussing ways to improve maintenance practices, it was agreed that achieving National Carriers’ goal of a 75,000-mile-service-interval was very possible.
Brown and Osborn also presented VECTON as the world’s first certified carbon-neutral commercial vehicle engine oil.* This added benefit helped National Carriers to decide to convert its entire fleet to Castrol VECTON, which will help it to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations and its overall impact on climate change.
