At a recent dinner in Tokyo, Japan, Komatsu presented Castrol with their ‘Best Partnership’ award. The award was based on input from Komatsu’s global subsidiaries, and the following was specifically noted:
Successful joint R&D program for new Tier 4 engine oils to support Komatsu’s Tier 4 engine launch in the USA and Canada
High level of service and support for Komatsu’s North America and Australia subsidiaries, enabling both to grow share and acquire new business in a tough trading environment.
According to John Cunningham, Castrol’s OEM sales manager for the Americas, “Our partnership with Komatsu is built on solid cooperation in R&D, delivering both Castrol-branded and Genuine Oil products that create value for Komatsu and their dealers, as well as for end users.”
The award recognizes the One Team approach that has been adopted in servicing Komatsu’s global business. Drew Cole and John Cunningham were recognized as U.S. members of the global Castrol team that was instrumental in delivering this success.
