Fifty years after our space-grade lubricants were used on NASA’s Apollo missions, Castrol is collaborating with Lunar Outpost on a new mission control.

Exploring new frontiers with Lunar Outpost

More than 50 years since our space-grade lubricants were used in NASA’s historic Apollo missions, Castrol is going back to the Moon. And this time, we’ll be at the heart of mission control. Collaborating with Lunar Outpost to design and build a ground-breaking mission control at their HQ in Denver Colorado.

Lunar Outpost is at the forefront of the global space industry, providing advanced technological solutions for deployment on the Moon, on Mars and in Earth’s orbit. 
As one of many companies working on the project, we’ll be creating a new kind of mission control – a far cry from the traditional setup we see in film and television. The state-of-the-art design will enable us to collaborate with the world’s best and brightest, helping shape the future of space exploration and continue to push the boundaries here on Earth.

The new mission control centre will be ready in time for the IM-2 mission launch, where Lunar Outpost’s Mapp rover will land on the moon. This mission is also taking an Astronaut and MIT payloads to the moon, one of which is the AstroAnt.
