Please note: By entering this competition, the owner or manager (as relevant) of a New Zealand-based SuperCheap Auto store agrees to be bound by and to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

12.01am (NZDT) on 27/12/2022 to 11.59pm (NZDT) on 12/02/2023.
This competition is available to SuperCheap Auto stores operating and located in New Zealand for the duration of the Competition Period and at the time of awarding prizes (each a Store). The owner or manager (as relevant) of a Store can enter the competition on behalf of the Store.
Any Store whose owner or manager (as relevant) is also a director, officer, or employee, or has an immediate family member that is a director, officer or employee, of:
(a) the Promoter; or
(b) the agencies, companies or participating premises associated with this competition (other than the Stores),
are not eligible to enter this competition.
To enter, a Store must, during the Competition Period:
(a) increase sales (by volume) of Castrol products during the Competition Period by a minimum of 6% compared to:
i. the same period last year (i.e. between 27/12/2021 and 12/02/2022 inclusive) based on the Promoter's sales figures; or
ii. where there is no prior sales history for the same period last year, the Set Target (defined below), (in each case, the Entry Period Growth);
(b) display (and keep on display throughout the Competition Period) all of the in-store POS promotional material of the ‘Win your own Modified Toyota GR Yaris” consumer promotion (as provided by the Promoter); and
(c) take a photo of the display during the Competition Period and send the photo in an email to their Area Manager during the Competition Period.
Area Managers will share photos with the Category team. The Category team will collate the data to be presented to the Retail Operations team.
A representative of the Promoter may also attend Stores to see if all of the requirements listed above have been successfully fulfilled. If the Promoter is not satisfied that your Store has, you may be disqualified in the Promoter’s absolute discretion.
For the avoidance of doubt, refunds and returns recorded during the Competition Period will not affect a Store's Entry Period Growth.
Set Target: If a Store does not have prior sales history for 27/12/2021 to 12/02/2022, the Store will be allocated a set target by SuperCheap Auto head office, based on past months’ performance (Set Target).
There will be 3 winning Stores in this competition.
The 3 Stores that:
(a) successfully fulfil the entry requirements and set out above; and
(b) record the highest percentage growth (rounded to two decimal places) in volume of Castrol products sold by the Store for the Competition Period, compared to the volume sold by the Store in the same period in the previous year (i.e. between 27/12/202 and 12/02/2022 inclusive or set target, if applicable), based on the Promoter's sales figures,
will each win a prize.
The 3 winning Stores will be ranked in order from the highest to lowest percentage increase in sales by volume of Castrol products. That is, the Store with:
(a) the highest percentage increase will win the 1st place price;
(b) the second highest percentage increase will win the 2nd place prize; and
(c) the third highest percentage increase will win the 3rd place prize.
If a tie breaker is required due to 2 Stores receiving the same percentage growth figure, the overall winner will be the Store that activated the "Win your own Modified Toyota GR Yaris" consumer promotion in-store POS material in the most creative way, as determined by the Promoter.
All judging decisions are as determined by the Promoter, in their absolute discretion. There is a maximum of 1 prize per Store.
There are 3 prizes to be won, as set out in the table below.
Each prize is 10x Mighty Car Mods (MCM) e-Gift vouchers redeemable for purchases made online at ww.mightycarmods.com(online store). Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the e-Gift voucher are not included. The prize values set out above are based on the exchange rates as of 22/12/2022 and are subject to change. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in exchange rate.
Each prize will be awarded to the Store manager of each winning Store, to be distributed to the winning Store staff members, in accordance with the following conditions:•
A winning Store must remain an account holder with the Promoter until the prize is awarded. The winning Store must not, in the Promoter's determination, have a bad credit history or be a credit risk, due to breaching or having at any time breached credit arrangements with the Promoter.
The total prize pool is NZD$3,500.
The prize value set out above are based on the exchange rates as of 22/12/2022 and are subject to change. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in exchange rate.
Winning Stores will be notified by phone and in writing within 7 business days of the end of the Competition Period.
Prizes will be delivered via email within 10 days of determination.
If your Store is a winning Store, the Promoter may ask you and your staff to take part in some publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter reasonably requires, without any compensation. You consent, and you agree to procure the consent of your staff, to the Promoter using yours and your staff’s names, images and indicia in any such promotional or advertising activity. Additionally, you agree, and you agree to procure the agreement of your staff, to grant the Promoter a perpetual, irrevocable and exclusive license to use any photographs in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites, without compensation to you, your Store or your staff. The Promoter collects personal information about you in order to conduct and manage the competition. If the personal information requested is not provided, you may not be able to participate.
The Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at https://www.castrol.com/en_nz/new-zealand/home/privacy-statement.html) states:
(a) how you can seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds and seek the correction of such information; and
(b) how you can complain about a breach of privacy and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint.
These Terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined in the table above. Information about prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
Your entry must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering.
Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as and when offered or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. Prizes are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Promoter, including validity periods and/or any additional regulations or regulatory requirements.
The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between the winning Store and any person with whom the winning Store chooses to, or chooses not to, share the prize.
Any failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).
If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions, including if the Promoter considers the winning Store to have a bad credit history or be a credit risk, due to breaching or having at any time breached credit arrangements with the Promoter, your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) for the Store may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's satisfaction the validity of your entries. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
You must not:
(a) tamper with the entry process;(including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, or any other means to circumvent the entry process);
(b) engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
(c) act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
(d) do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
(e) breach any law; or
(f) behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
If you, in the opinion of the Promoter, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel the prize, at its discretion.
The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final, including in respect of the any Set Targets, tie-breakers, and the assessment of a Store’s Entry Period Growth.
Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes (and elements of prizes) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value.
If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the relevant gaming authorities. Where it is practical for it to do so, the Promoter will notify you of such changes.
The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice.
The Promoter reserves the right to select a new winner in the event that an entrant, claiming to be a winner, is unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any non-excludable consumer rights under any statute including the Fair Trading Act 1986 (Non-Excludable Rights).
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law), including liability under the Non-Excludable Rights, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) the agencies and companies associated with this competition excludes all liability (including in negligence) for any personal injury, , illness or death, or any loss , expense or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition or any prize, including without limitation (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation of the prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) use of a prize by any person.
Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, or for any damage that occurs to displayed prize/s (where relevant).
