Automotive workshops and their customers to benefit from close cooperation between two of the largest automotive aftermarket brands

  • Castrol and Bosch Automotive Aftermarket recently agreed to extend their successful European agreement globally
  • Castrol and Bosch Automotive Aftermarket will now launch this partnership in the UK and will recommend each other’s products and services in their automotive aftermarket workshop networks to drive profitable growth
  • The agreement includes joint marketing, promotional activities and joint digital activities

Building on their global agreement, Castrol and Bosch Automotive Aftermarket are extending their successful cooperation to workshop partners in the UK. Under the cooperation agreement, each company will recommend each other’s products and services in their respective automotive aftermarket workshop networks. Castrol lubricants will be recommended and sold in the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket workshop network, and Bosch Automotive Aftermarket parts and diagnostics will be recommended and sold into the Castrol workshop network.

“Since our initial European partnership started in 2013, the cooperation between Castrol and Bosch Automotive Aftermarket has proved to be a great success. It has driven business growth for both parties, but also benefited end users by providing easy access to products and services from Bosch and Castrol,” says Amanda Taylor, UK and Ireland Country Activation Specialist. “We are now bringing this win-win cooperation to the UK where it will offer drivers more convenience, while driving profitable sales growth for our workshop partners.”

Drivers who entrust their vehicles to Castrol or Bosch Automotive Aftermarket workshops will benefit from joint marketing activities including promotional campaigns, digital activities, training, as well as finance and efficiency solutions. Both Bosch and Castrol will provide stock recommendations to each other’s network, and Castrol will become the preferred global partner for the Bosch eXtra loyalty programme.

According to Ian Daly, Channel Marketing Manager at Bosch UK, “This cooperation agreement brings together two of the strongest brands in the automotive aftermarket. The combination creates additional opportunities for our workshop partners to drive profitable growth through being able to offer their customers the very best in lubricants, parts and technical service excellence. The joint approach to training, support and marketing campaigns will also help workshops attract and retain more customers”
