50 years after Ford’s historic 1-2-3 finish at Le Mans with the iconic Ford GT40, Ford came back in 2016 in the GT class and won Le Mans again.

The Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Team had a successful start to the Ford GTs return to racing with both sets of cars (two in WTSCC and two in WEC) finishing their first season as championship runner-ups on both sides of the Atlantic.

Powered by Castrol EDGE technology the Ford GT will compete in both championships for GT class victory including The Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in January, and then again at the iconic Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

These cars are specifically engineered to extract maximum performance, serving as an important proving ground for top manufacturers in the industry and an important showcase for the superior performance of Castrol EDGE.
