The business runs 37 Kenworth prime movers, and their road trains pull up to 115 tonnes with Cummins Signature and ISX engines and some Detroits - all under intense conditions and usually up to 13,000km turnaround. Proof of the exceptional performance of Castrol Vecton Long Drain was evidenced in two of the business’s Cummins Signature 580 engines:
- Both engines did well over 1,000,000km each at maximum load capacities of 49.5% and 51.5% respectively, averaging 1.3km/litre
- For the first part of their life, both engines ran on conventional engine oil at 20,000km drain periods. However, Castrol recommended a change to semi-synthetic Castrol VECTON Cambio Extendido.
