Castrol Australia’s motor sport heritage is cemented in their relationship with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS).
CAMS is the custodian for motor sport in Australia – from grassroots racing to Formula 1.
Castrol, as a corporate partner, supports CAMS across a wide variety of activities, from their race officials to CAMS-run racing championships.
CAMS supply officials for all their sanctioned events, amounting to more than 10,000 CAMS officials Australia-wide that are the very lifeblood of motor sport in this country.
The officials work tirelessly to make sure events are run within regulations, safely and enjoyably. These volunteers work purely for the love of the sport. Castrol and CAMS reward the most outstanding officials nationally and of each state with the title ‘Official of the Year’.
CAMS play an important role in developing and nurturing young driving talent across the country.
Celebrating Australia’s rich motor sport heritage and many homegrown talents, CAMS also presents the Australian Motor Sport Hall Of Fame – with inductees such as Sir Jack Brabham, Mark Webber and Mick Doohan. Castrol are proud supporters of the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame.
The partnership with CAMS allows Castrol to provide a pathway for all ages from karting to Formula 4, Super2, Supercars and beyond.
