J.O. Berkefeld is a prime example of a Castrol reseller that has kept it in the family. Servicing the limestone region in South Australia for over 80 years, J.O. Berkefeld supplies quality Castrol lubricants to a diverse range of industries and businesses. These include produce farmers, owner drivers, small mixed fleet owners and a range of haulage and mechanic businesses which support the forestry and fishing industries in the area.
Established in the Mt Gambier in 1933, Julius Otto Berkefeld started the business as a produce merchant which sold potatoes, onion, wheat, cheese, oats and chaff. Today their business has morphed to focus on two key areas, supply of premium Castrol lubricants as well as a wide cleaning, hygiene and hospitality products range which includes anything from paper towels to biodegradable coffee cups. It doesn’t get more diverse than that.
Kym Berkefeld shared that he wanted to make the right choice when choosing the right supplier for his business. Choosing to focus to sell Castrol engine oils was an easy choice. Castrol RX Super as a product and brand had built a strong reputation in the commercial transport heavy duty market.
