Approved by ZF for use in a range of Axle
High viscosity, multipurpose Axle fluid oil for use in differentials, final drives and other applications where API GL-5 is required.
Recommended for use in differentials, gear boxes and steering gears of cars. Castrol Axle EPX 85W-140 should be considered for use over the lighter Castrol Axle EPX 80W-90 when ambient temperatures are high (in the vicinity of 30C or above).
Axle fluid for use in limited slip differentials where API GL-5 performance is required.
Primarily recommended for use in limited slip differentials fitted to a wide range of Australian, American, Japanese, British and European vehicles.
Fully synthetic multigrade rear Axle fluid for racing and severe duty applications
For many limited slip differential applications. Primarily intended for use in rear Axles of Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore high performance models.

Castrol Transmax Axle Long Life 75W-140 is a full synthetic final drive lubricant that is suitable for use in axles and final drives in commercial vehicles and passenger cars where API GL-5 performance is required. It is included in the Scania High Performance product list and is approved against Scania STO 2:0A.
Castrol Universal 80W-90 is a manual transmission and rear Axle lubricant. The product is recommended for Holden VN V6 and V8 manual transmissions. It is also Castrol’s prime recommendation for all transaxles that include both helical and hypoid type gears.

Castrol Universal 80W-90 is recommended in place of SAE 80W-90 GL-4 or 5 gear oil where improved cold shift is desired.
Full synthetic, multipurpose manual transmission and final drive lubricant. May be used in synchronized manual transmissions and final drives/differentials of a wide range of vehicles (commercial vehicle, construction equipment, passenger cars) where API GL-4 or GL-5 are required.

High quality, mineral oil based, multipurpose gear oil for use in most passenger car, light and heavy duty truck conventional differentials, final drives, non-synchronised manual transmissions, steering gears and other applications where API GL-5, API MT-1 or SAE J2360 performance is required.
It is not recommended for those manual transmission manufacturers who prefer non EP (Extreme Pressure) additive containing oils.
Castrol TRANSMAX Limited Slip LL 75W-140, formulated with Smooth Drive Technology™, is a full synthetic hypoid gear oil designed for use in both conventional and limited slip differentials. It has demonstrated outstanding performance in competition vehicles employing limited slip differentials. It is approved for use in the high performance BMW-M Series and Mercedes Benz AMG limited slip differentials.
