Until now there hasn’t been an oil that could both harness the natural lubricating properties of plants, and give the high level of protection required by car engines. That’s changed with the launch of Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC 5W-30.
Utilising revolutionary Eco-Engineering technology, Castrol has combined MAGNATEC’s clinging molecules with 25% renewable plant-based oil without any protection or performance compromise!
An Australian-first, Castrol MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC has been announced as the 2018 AUSTRALIAN BRAND AWARDS winner for ECO INNOVATION.
Castrol MAGNATEC BIO SYNTHETIC protects engines from the moment they start and is formulated with intelligent molecules that cling and bond to engine surfaces. Figure 2 below highlights the reduced wear and damage on a Cam Lobe that was protected by Castrol MAGNATEC’S Intelligent Molecules when compared to a Cam Lobe that wasn’t protected by Castrol MAGNATEC’S Intelligent Molecules.
Even with such comprehensive testing, Castrol decided to go one step further, working with Bosch to trial MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC in the Australian market.
“To be able to innovate and pioneer technology like MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC you have to ensure you’re always working with the best,” explains Castrol Automotive Brand Manager, Jan Willink “Locally, that means partnering with a global market-leader like Bosch to validate the performance attributes of such a product.”
Working with a handful of Bosch Car Service workshops across Victoria to sample and trial MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC, the feedback from customers and workshops alike was overwhelmingly positive.
“It’s exciting to work with Castrol’s new MAGNATEC BIO-SYNTHETIC product,” agrees Luke Cefai, Workshop Manager, Bosch Car Service – ADR, “It offers a new choice for our customers and allows them to have a positive effect on the environment whilst using Australia’s first plant-derived engine oil.”
“Bosch and Castrol have a long global association and to have Bosch’s support for such pioneering automotive technology, is a real testament to their customer focus and future-thinking approach in the automotive industry,” emphasised Mr Willink.
