1. The Contest is organized by Rock Energy Limited (“Organizer”) and is open all individual participants who:
(i) are above 18 (eighteen) years of age and have the capacity to enter into valid contracts,
(ii) hold valid proof of citizenship; and are residents of Bangladesh; and
(iii) have a valid Facebook account.
2. Contest shall commence from 14th November 2025 and shall conclude on 29th November 2025 ("Contest Period"). Entries received after the Contest Period shall not be entertained. Winners shall be announced within 4 weeks of contest completion.
3. To participate in the Contest, the participants ("Participants") will be required to
a. Visit the kiosk of Castrol, located in Dhaka.
b. Capture a photograph at or around the Castrol kiosk featuring visible elements of Castrol branding and/or Castrol products
c. Log on to Facebook account and follow Castrol Bangladesh Facebook handle, if not already following. Link to Facebook handle -https://www.facebook.com/BangladeshCastrol (“Contest Website(s)”).
d. Post your picture with elements of Castrol branding by tagging the Castrol Bangladesh (@BangladeshCastrol) handle with a creative caption which should not be detrimental to the brand Castrol or its products or in any way conflicting with the applicable laws.
e. Each posted image should have the #CastrolBangladesh, and #RidewithCastrol in description.
f. Upon posting, participants are required to submit a screenshot of their post via direct message to the Castrol Bangladesh Facebook account
g. Images that receive the highest engagement score will stand a chance to receive exciting gifts. Engagement score will be calculated as Likes + 2*Comments + 3*Shares.
4. Participants fulfilling the above requirements will be considered as valid entries and may get a chance to win subject to their compliance with these terms and conditions. Any Participant making numerous entries will be considered only for one of the entries picked on a randomized basis. This Contest or the terms and conditions do not vest in the Participant any rights to claim any benefits/gratification set out herein below.
5. By participating in the Contest, the Participants agree to be bound by any rules, regulations, guidelines or policies ("Rules") associated with the Contest and agree to be bound by any decisions made by Castrol, including any interpretations of such Rules by Castrol. Such Rules will be communicated on the above mentioned Facebook handles from time to time.
6. By participating in the Contest, the Participants also represent and warrant that they shall solely be liable for any and all action (criminal/civil) arising therefrom and shall also be liable to indemnify Castrol for any loss, claim, dispute, disrepute, disruption caused to it.
7. Participants confirm that the Images posted and the caption added to it shall not be obscene, vulgar, defaming, denigrating women, artist, celebrity or children, hurting religious sentiments, depicting violence or against the public policy of India or/and the internal policies of Castrol.
8. Castrol reserves the right to disqualify the Participants immediately from the Contest if Participants have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading details and/or information, of any nature and/or have failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms hereof. Castrol may also disqualify any Participant found to be violation of the applicable law or making comments/posts that are likely bring disrepute to Castrol.
9. Castrol shall have collective right to choose 3 winners from the Participants who have received the highest engagement score on their photos (“Winners”). Each such winner shall be provided with exciting gifts. Further, in the event that there is a tie, Castrol shall, at its sole discretion, choose the Winners based on the first come basis. Castrol shall send direct messages to the Facebook handles of the Winners and/or such other mode of communication as may be determined by Castrol at its sole discretion, notifying them of their win after the Contest Period has ended. The Winners shall be selected in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and such Rules.
10. Mere participation in the Contest does not entitle the Participants to win the Contest or the Prize. The selection process may vary and shall be as per Castrol’s sole discretion. The Participants or any third party shall have no right to question the process of selection. Castrol may determine the correctness, quality and validity of the Contest Answers in their sole discretion.
11. After the Winners are notified of their win, the Winners will be required to provide requisite details and documents as may be required by Castrol. The Winners might also be required to sign a release letter or such other documents to avail the Prize in the format required by Castrol.
12. The photos, Facebook handle name, display, image or such other details available etc. of the Winner can be used by Castrol to announce the Winner and/or for promotion of the Contest, if required by Castrol, and these are all condition precedent to the Winner availing the Prize. Any refusal to sign the release letter by a Winner or prohibit Castrol from using any of above would result in the disqualification of the Winner and such Winner shall not be given any Prize. Castrol may cancel the Prize or announce other Winners in place of the originally announced Winners.
13. Castrol shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to change/ modify/ replace or omit the Prize listed above and the Winners shall not have the right to claim any damages or monies from Castrol. By participating in this Contest, the Winners waive their right to make any such or other claims against Castrol.
14. Castrol takes no responsibility, liability or any other expenses for the Winners and does not take any responsibility or liability in case the Prize is cancelled for any reason whatsoever. All costs and expenses not specifically covered by Castrol and not set out herein shall be solely borne by the Winners and no monies will be reimbursed by Castrol.
15. Castrol shall not be responsible for any loss of entries for any reason, whatsoever including, due to any problems caused by telephone lines, service providers, network breakdowns, computer service delays, interruptions, network failures or overloads, or for lost, misdirected or misplaced entries, or for entries received after the Contest Period or for any reasons beyond the control of Castrol.
16. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Castrol and the Prize not being made available to the Winners, or the said Contest/ Prize being cancelled, the Winners shall not have the right to claim any damages or monies from Castrol and by participating in this Contest, the Winners waive their right to make any such claims against Castrol.
17. Income tax, gift tax or any other statutory taxes, duties or levies as may be applicable from time-to-time, arising out of the Prizes, shall be borne and paid by the Winners. In case the Winners fail to comply with the applicable laws or pay the requisite taxes, duties or levies, if any, the Winners shall indemnify Castrol of any losses, claims, expenses, costs and actions for the same.
18. Prize shall not be transferable, negotiable and/or redeemable for cash. No request shall be entertained by Castrol in this behalf. Only the Winner and no other person can claim the Prize for or on behalf of the Winner.
19. Employees (including their immediate family) of the Organizer, its affiliates and associates and sponsors, are not permitted to participate in the Contest.
20. To enable registration of a Participant and/or to make the Prize available to the Winners, personally identifiable information which shall include without limitation name, complete address, date of birth, citizenship details, passport details, email id, twitter handle/ account name, etc. of the Participants/Winner ("Personal Information") will be collected by Castrol to enable Castrol to administer and promote this Contest and the Winners. If Participants do not truthfully provide all requested Personal Information, Castrol may determine that such Participants are not eligible to win the Prize in this Contest.
21. Personal Information of the Winners shall be provided by Castrol to others assisting Castrol in this regard, including its affiliates, associates, authorities, agents, sponsors, employees, prize suppliers, distributors, deliverers and service providers (as applicable).
22. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as limiting or excluding Castrol’s liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by Castrol’s negligence, or any other liability to the extent the same may not be excluded as a matter of law.
23. All trademarks, text, images, and logos relating to Castrol or third parties involved in this contest and used in relation to it, are the exclusive property of Castrol or those third parties and participation in the contest does not confer any rights to a entrant in or over or grant any right to use these.
24. Participants hereby agree and undertake that they shall not accept or undertake to accept/give or undertake to give, either directly or indirectly, any gifts, commission or other favor, of any kind whatsoever, to facilitate their winning the Contest. Any knowledge of such an act shall lead to immediate disqualification of such Participants and Castrol shall be entitled to take any/all actions against such Participants, as deemed fit by it.
25. Castrol shall not be responsible for the quality or deficiency of the Prizes and no claim or request, whatsoever, in this respect shall be entertained by Castrol.
26. Castrol shall not entertain any questions, correspondence, enquiries on the manner of conduct of the Contest and grant of the Prize from any party whatsoever.
27. Castrol is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the Terms & Conditions contained herein. All information provided in the Contest is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Castrol makes no representations and disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties of any kind to the Participants and/or the Winner and/or any third party including, without limitation, warranties as to accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
28. Under no circumstance, shall Castrol and/or its parent, subsidiaries, associates, affiliates and group entities, and their respective directors, employees, officers, agents or representatives be liable to the Participants and/or the Winners and/or any third party for any lost profits or lost opportunities, indirect, special, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages whatsoever, even if Castrol has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The Participants and the Winner specifically agree not to file in person/through any family member and/or any third party, any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against Castrol, its parents, subsidiaries, associates, affiliates and group entities, and their respective directors, employees, officers, agents or representatives to claim any damages or relief in connection with the Contest.
29. It is the Participants’ responsibility to ensure that their Personal Information is always updated and accurate in order to be able to receive the Prize/ notification in time.
30. Castrol may, at any time, at its discretion, cancel the Contest, change these Terms & Conditions, the Rules and/or the Prize mentioned herein, without prior notice, and the Participants acknowledge that such change shall be binding upon them.
31. The Participants and the Winners acknowledge that they will not hold Castrol and/or any of its affiliates or agencies engaged by it with regard to this Contest liable for any loss of opportunity and/or monetary loss due to their participation in the Contest.
32. Castrol reserves the right to terminate, modify or extend this Contest, and its Terms and Conditions, at any time at its absolute discretion, without assigning any reason whatsoever. In case of any dispute or difference in respect of this Contest, decisions of Castrol shall be final, binding and irrevocable.
33. The invalidity or unenforceability for any reason of any part of these Terms & Conditions shall not prejudice or affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining parts and each part of these Terms & Conditions is distinct and at all times severable from the rest of the Terms & Conditions.
34. No waiver of any rights by Castrol will be taken as a waiver of any other rights it may have. For instance, if Castrol waives its right to object to a particular breach of these terms and conditions by a Participant/Winner, it does not prevent Castrol from objecting to any other breaches by that Participant/Winner or any other Participant/Winner.
35. The Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent Courts at Dhaka and the law applicable shall be Bangladesh Law. The Contest shall not be valid and no participants from any city/state may participate if such contests and participation is prohibited as per applicable law in the states that they reside in/belong to.
