Family spirit

First and foremost, it’s the great people you’ll work with. We’re a close team. We support each other. We appreciate and respect each other’s input. So, no matter where you join us, you’ll find passionate, like-minded individuals who will inspire you to be the very best you can be. To this day, we’ve maintained the strong family-run atmosphere that was fostered by Charles Wakefield, all those years ago.

A culture of innovation

Growth and learning are at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to embrace a dynamic culture in which we learn from the unique abilities and experiences of our people. We are committed to creating true experts, investing in personalised development, aligned to each individual’s role and career aspirations – whatever they may be. You can expect continuous support and access to formal training, on-the-job learning and other development tools, allowing you to drive your success and ours.

Geared for success

We succeed through our people. So we do all we can to make them happy. And that means rewarding them. Making them feel valued. Ensuring that they go home safely every day. Creating an environment that is inclusive and meritocratic, where everyone can perform to the best of their capabilities. It’s both a performance-driven and relaxed culture. We believe in always doing what’s right - for our people, and our business. And it’s been a winning formula that’s brought us success for over a century.

I’ve met leaders across the business and they’ve been supportive of every success.

Giving back

At Castrol, we’re committed to giving back to the countries and communities that we work in. For example, in South Africa we’ve taken positive steps to reduce low-employment rates and develop enterprise by rolling out township kiosks that we loan to aspiring local entrepreneurs. We also created the world’s first breathalyser vuvuzela, with the aim to combat drink driving accidents after football games. By rolling out similar initiatives across the world, we ensure that we’re making a positive impact on the communities in which we operate.
