Castrol BioBar

Castrol’s Liquid Engineers have developed fluids for hydraulic systems and hydrostatic transmissions where there is a perceived risk of egress into the environment due to spillage or leakage.

Our Liquid Engineers understand how important it is that your hydraulic systems operate efficiently with minimum downtime, even for maintenance. 

BioBar exceeds the requirements of the Eaton-Vickers 35VQ25 Pump Test; so you can rely on the product – alongside support from Castrol’s Liquid Engineers – to extend the life of your gear pumps, vane pumps, radial piston and axial piston pumps and motors (when compared to conventional mineral based oils).  Changeover from existing systems is easy, because BioBar is compatible with the same elastomers as mineral oils.
Castrol BioBar has a high viscosity index and low pour point which allows start-up at low temperatures and provides thicker lubricating film and therefore enhanced component protection at high temperatures (when compared to a conventional mineral based oil)
