Castrol Bio Range has been designed to minimise the impact of oil entering the seawater without compromising the product performance as a lubricant. Test programmes have shown that product life, component life and system reliability are in no way compromised by Bio Range’s superior environmental performance.
The base oils and additives are performance-tested against national and equipment manufacturers’ standards.
We also ensure compatibility with existing components and lubricants to simplify the conversion process.
The technology to give a major improvement in environmental performance is available now - for those shipping operators who want to make a difference now - instead of waiting until irreversible damage is proven in the marine environment and legislation is introduced to force its adoption.
