Release date:
03 May 2011
Castrol Marine are all set to exhibit their exciting range of high performance lubricants at Nor-Shipping, one of the key annual events for the marine industry.
Held from May 24th – 27th at the Norway Trade Fairs in Oslo, the Nor-Shipping Exhibition represents an important networking, sharing and debating platform for shipowners, maritime suppliers, the media and individuals representing key regulatory authorities.
Castrol will occupy stand E02-16, where they’ll exhibit their high performance selection of marine lubricants to delegates from every corner of the globe.
The opening conference on 24th May will explore the theme “Next Generation Shipping” from a number of different perspectives – innovation, the environment, changes in world trade and more – not to mention debating the topics with the leaders of tomorrow.
Such topics have always been a high priority on Castrol Marine’s agenda. As a leading global marine lubricant specialist, Castrol Marine combines its high performance products with the dedicated support and expertise of its people across the globe to offer maximum value to its customers.
With coverage extending globally, Castrol Marine has one of the widest port and country coverages of any lubricant supplier in the market. The company has developed a range of advanced lubricants, formulated using the highest quality base oils and a balance of additives to offer multiple operational benefits that help optimise engine performance and deliver the reliability that vessels depend on.
Castrol Marine’s Bio Range lubricants offer equivalent or better operational performance than their mineral based counterparts, with no compromise on reliability. In addition, they are compatible with most normal construction materials and seals, so are easily retrofitted to existing equipment with minimal downtime. Bio Range products can assist ship owners and operators in achieving compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 and in following guidelines from regulatory bodies, including the US EPA’s recommendation of environmentally preferable lubricants for stern tubes, thrusters, stabiliser and wire ropes.
Castrol Marine has also developed Castrol TLX Plus for medium speed diesel engines. As a result of its superior cleanliness performance, Castrol TLX Plus offers the potential to extend engine overhaul intervals by up to 33% (when compared to normal recommended overhaul intervals). This can lead to significant savings in spare parts and labour costs.
For highly rated marine 4-stroke engines, Castrol Marine has developed Castrol MHP. With advanced additive technology and increased base number, compared with Castrol Marine’s previous technology*, vessels can benefit from extended oil drain intervals, reduced oil consumption and cleaner engines. This can deliver reduced downtime and greater overall value.
We look forward to seeing you at Nor-Shipping.
