The Technology Centre at Pangbourne, UK is home to the chemists and Liquid Engineers who are dedicated to the provision of products and services to Castrol's customers.
Our search for and development of ever more advanced lubricants is
never ending. Every new product is tested for adherence to the relevant
technical and environmental performance standards.
Teams of chemists work continuously to identify, screen and bench-test
potential base fluids and additives. Stringent field tests are carried out
by our expert Liquid Engineers under strict field conditions that utilise
actual equipment components, the specific duty cycle and the particular
operating parameters beyond industry standards.
Our testing facilities bench-test and analyse every one of our products
under strict field conditions within controlled environments. With the
resulting test data, we are able to understand exactly how our products
will perform on specific equipment in any environment.
