MGA ClubIn true Castrol fashion, EDGE got involved in the 50th anniversary of the South African MGA Car Club. At the Castrol EDGE African Adventure 2005, 100 members in 50 cars celebrated the anniversary by traveling 4000km across South Africa, stopping by small towns and having a great time. Not forgetting the under-privileged, all the money raised from the MGA anniversary drive was donated to an under-resourced school. For details, visit www.mgcc.co.za

Castrol EDGE PioneersKnown as the Castrol EDGE Pioneers, 70 hardcore car passionates across the country were handpicked to be the first introduced to Castrol EDGE.
Among those invited to the gathering at Kyalami on 23 July 2005 are Rob Ferolli, Rob Greene, Achmat Achmat and the entire Speed and Sound crew. Local car enthusiasts were also present – Riaz Fakrudeen and Julian Ramlukan from Durban, Ash Maharaj from Ermelo, Howard Daniels, Peet van der Walt and Armien Stemmet from Cape Town, Louis Lima, Anthony van Rooyen from JHB as well as Tefo Mohau from Soweto.
Amidst BMW Academy’s driving tips, practice tyre-burning sessions and lessons on car lubricants, the day ended with a blast when the EDGE Pioneers were introduced to the newly revealed Castrol EDGE oil.

Castrol Cape Auto Fuzion
The 1st Annual Castrol Cape Auto Fuzion (CCAF) event was a joint collaboration among four of Cape Town’s most prominent motoring clubs – Xtreme Veedubz, Hondaboys, the TRD Owners Club and the BMW Club.
Focusing on modern day streetcar culture (think Fast & Furious, Need for Speed Underground), Castrol Cape Auto Fuzion is a spanking new concept that showcases car performance accessories, body and paint styling, performance tuning, audio and multimedia, wheels, tyres, motor dealers, lubricants and personalised service providers.
