Castrol and Volkswagen are embarking on a new adventure together in the World Rally Championship with the new Castrol EDGE-lubricated Polo R WRC.

The WRC programme follows record-breaking success in the Dakar Rally - a gruelling 9600km South American-based event. In four years, the Castrol-lubricated, diesel-engined Touareg off-roader had no technical-related breakdowns, helping the team storm to a trio of benchmark-setting victories in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Together, Castrol and Volkswagen will be working hard to ensure their new WRC programme is as successful, providing another great way for Castrol EDGE to be developed at the most extreme levels of performance.
