Castrol and Honda have a long and proud history of motorsport success making them the perfect partners in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
The new car has been developed with the aim of enhancing drivability, with sharp engine pick-up and more linear cornering control ability. The resulting 2013 Civic WTCC is the culmination of all the experiences and data collected during this testing programme as well as the three races in 2012. The Championship will begin with the Race of Italy at Monza on 24 March 2013, finally ending in Macau on 17 November 2013 after twenty-four races.
"We are delighted to have Castrol join us as our team’s title sponsor," said team principal Alessandro Mariani after the unveiling at the WTCC media presentation in Turin. "Like Honda, Castrol has a long and proud history in the world of motorsport and their enthusiasm and passion for racing matches our own. I look forward to our new partnership in 2013 and on achieving the success and results we are all aiming for."
