THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS VALID IN THE 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES AND D.C. ONLY. VOID ELSEWHERE AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU ARE NOT A LEGAL RESIDENT OF AND CURRENTLY RESIDING IN ONE OF THE 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES OR D.C. THIS CONTEST WILL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO U.S. LAW.

1. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST:
TO ENTER VIA THE INTERNET: Beginning at 12:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") on 8/01/06 through 11:59 p.m. CT on 10/31/06 you may enter the "Big Honkin' Truck Makeover" Contest presented by Castrol® Tection Extra (herein "Contest"), which is sponsored by BP Lubricants USA Inc. (herein "Sponsor"). To enter, access the Contest website at www.castrol.com/truckmakeover. Once at the Contest entry page, follow the on–screen instructions for entering the Contest and attach one (1) color photograph (digital or scanned) of your Class 3 — 8 vehicle as a JPEG or GIF file (400k or less), and an original essay of 25–50 words (in English) describing why your truck needs a makeover and why deserve to be the Grand Prize Contest winner. Castrol product need not be depicted in photo to be eligible. Submit your entry by clicking on the "SUBMIT" button. Entries must be completed in one session, as entrants will not have the ability to revisit the web site at a later time to complete entries. Online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on 10/31/06.
TO ENTER VIA MAIL: You can also enter the Contest by mail, by submitting the following: a color photo no larger than 8" x 10" (no slides, negatives, transparencies or undeveloped film accepted) of your Class 3 — 8 vehicle, and an original essay of 25–50 (in English) describing why truck needs a makeover and why you deserve to be the Grand Prize Contest winner. Castrol product need not be depicted in photo to be eligible. Along with the items listed above, hand–print or type your name, address, daytime phone number, email address (if applicable) and date of birth on the front of a 3" x 5" card. On the back of the same 3" x 5" card, provide the make, class and model year of the truck you are entering into the contest, and attach the 3" x 5" card to your photo and essay, and mail in an appropriate envelope to: Big Honkin' Truck Makeover Contest, P.O. Box 8559, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Mailed entries must be postmarked by 10/31/06 and received by 11/10/06.
Entries must be the original work of the entrant, may not have won previous awards, may not have been published previously, and must not infringe upon third party rights and must be suitable for publication at Sponsor's sole discretion (without limitation, obscene, indecent, violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory or other morally or legally objectionable depictions or material will be disqualified). Essay portion must be in English, and must be no more than 50 words in length and no less than 25 words. Photographs must be of owner or operator's Class 3 — 8 vehicle and may not be re–touched or digitally modified, enhanced or altered in any way. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, illegible, incomplete, postage due, or misdirected mail or entries or for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries or for entries not received due to lost, failed, delayed or interrupted internet connections or miscommunications, or to other electronic malfunctions, delays, or errors. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest, as solely determined by Sponsor. By entering, entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Contest judges and public judging, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest. All entries, including photos and essays, become property of Sponsor, and none will be returned or acknowledged. Limit: one (1) entry per person, household or business entity. In case of multiple entries by an individual, household and/or business entity, all entries submitted by that individual, household and/or business entity will be disqualified.
2. ELIGIBILITY:
The Contest is open only to licensed owners and owner/operators of Class 3 — 8 vehicles, 21 years of age or older, and who are legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia ("D.C."). Class 3 — 8 vehicle depicted in photo submission must be mechanically sound and fully functioning to be eligible for Grand Prize (see rule #4 below) and must be titled and registered in the name of the Contest entrant, who must be the vehicle's owner or owner/operator. Operators who are not owners of Class 3 — 8 vehicles featured in Contest entries may not enter this Contest. Residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. Territories and possessions, as well as all others residing outside the 48 contiguous United States/D.C. are NOT eligible to participate in this Contest. Employees of BP Lubricants USA Inc., and its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, sales representatives, advertising, promotion and judging agencies and members of the immediate families or household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in this Contest. For purposes of these rules, "immediate families" means parents or legal guardians, spouses, siblings, and children.3. JUDGING AND WINNER NOTIFICATION:
Judging: Winners will be determined through judging conducted in two phases. Phase 1: In the first phase of judging, a maximum of three (3) Finalists will be chosen from among all eligible entries received both online and through the mail. All such entries will be judged by at panel of qualified judges chosen by the Sponsor. All Phase 1 judging will be based on the following criteria: 50% originality and creativity of essay; 25% relevance of essay to theme; 25% of photographic evidence of need for a truck makeover. In the event of a tie in the first phase, tie will be broken on the basis of overall demonstrated need for a truck makeover. Phase 2: On 3/22/07 through 3/23/07, at the Mid–America Trucking Show (herein "MATS") in Louisville, Kentucky, the three (3) Finalist entries selected will be posted at the Castrol Tection Extra Booth and may be voted upon by eligible, registered, MATS attendees. You may also vote for one of the three (3) Finalists online, by going to www.castrol.com/truckmakeover and following the onscreen instructions for casting your vote. Online voting will begin at 12:01AM EST on 1/01/07 and end at 11:59PM EST on 2/28/07.
Limit: one (1) vote per person/household regardless of voting method (at MATS or online). The finalist entries will be awarded a maximum of 100 points with the finalist entry receiving the most points deemed the Grand Prize winner. The finalist entry receiving the most votes from online and MATS attendees will receive 40 points. The finalist entry receiving the second most votes will receive 30 points, and the finalist entry receiving the fewest votes will receive 20 points. The remaining 60 points of the final score will be determined by a panel of qualified judges chosen by the Sponsor. The judging criteria/points are as follows: The finalist entry essay deemed to be the most original and creative will receive 30 points; the other finalist entry essays will receive 20 points and 10 points, respectively, based on the judges' decisions. The finalist entry essay deemed to be the most relevant to the theme of the promotion will receive 15 points; the other finalist entry essays will receive 10 points and 5 points, respectively, based on the judges' decisions. The finalist entry deemed to show the most photographic evidence of need for a truck makeover will receive 15 points; the other finalist entries will receive 10 points and 5 points, respectively, based on the judges' decisions. The finalist entry receiving the most points will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner, and the finalists receiving the second and third most points will be deemed the First Prize Winner and Second Prize Winner, respectively. Winners may be announced, at Sponsor's sole discretion, at MATS on 3/24/07. Voters must be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia. If two or more finalists receive the same number of points, the judging panel will decide the winner on the basis of overall demonstrated need for a truck makeover.
If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned, or if this Contest or any Web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Contest and processing of entries per these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in Sponsor's sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest in whole or in part. In the event that Phase 1 of this Contest is cancelled or suspended prior to the stated end date, Sponsor reserves the right to have the judges select the finalists for Phase 2 on the basis of the criteria stated herein from among all eligible, non–suspect, entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation/suspension. In the event that the Phase 2 voting portion of this Contest is cancelled or suspended, Sponsor reserves the right to have the judging panel determine the Grand Prize winner based on the awarding of points described above.
The (3) three winners be notified by approximately 4/03/07 by phone and/or overnight delivery, and will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release (where permitted by law) within seven (7) days of receipt of notification or prize may be forfeited. First Prize winner's guest must also return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable, or failure to return required documents in a timely manner, or failure to comply with these Rules in any way, may result in forfeiture of prize. If a winner's prize is forfeited for any reason, the entry that received the next highest amount of points or that was rated next highest in Phase 1, if appropriate, will receive the prize.
4. PRIZES:
Subject to eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the one (1) Grand Prize winner will receive up to $50,000 worth of improvements on his/her Class 3 — 8 vehicle in accordance with the category limitations outlined below. The total value of $50,000 may only be used to improve the winner's Class 3 — 8 vehicle and all expenditures are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Improvements to the winner's vehicle are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, and subject to Sponsor's approval. Any remaining balance from the $50,000 value at the end of one (1) year from the date the prize is awarded will be forfeited. Sponsor to determine when and where the winner's vehicle will be made over. All category improvements to the Grand Prize winner's vehicle will be fulfilled at the same time. Approximate maximum retail value ("ARV"): $50,000.00, broken into the following cost categories: $25,000 maximum for exterior, $15,000 maximum for interior and $10,000 maximum for communications. Class 3 — 8 vehicle must be the vehicle depicted in the photo submission, and must be mechanically sound and fully functioning at the time of prize award. $50,000 or any portion thereof may not be used for improvement or repairs to anything other than the vehicle's exterior, interior, and communications. Any other expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Vehicle improvements are scheduled to begin in April of 2007 and be completed in July of 2007. The winner's improved vehicle may be revealed at the 2007 Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, TX. Any other expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Subject to eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules the one (1) First Prize winner will receive a 5–day/4–night trip for two (2) to the 2007 AC Delco NHRA Las Vegas Nationals in Las Vegas scheduled to be held 10/25/07 — 10/28/07. Prize includes round trip coach air transportation for two (2) from the major airport nearest winner's residence to Las Vegas, Nevada, 4 nights' standard hotel accommodations (single room, double occupancy), rental car, $500 cash, one year's supply of Castrol Tection Extra (36 gallons), and two (2) tickets to the NHRA event. Actual dates of NHRA event may be subject to change. All other travel activities, gratuities, and expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner and their guest must travel together on the same itinerary and on dates to be specified by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel, dates, destination, route, and accommodations at their sole discretion. Winner's guest must be 18 years of age or older. To receive rental car portion of prize, winner must be 26 years of age or older, possess a valid, current, driver's license and major credit card. If winner is ineligible for the rental car portion of the prize, no cash or any other prize will be awarded in lieu thereof. ARV: $3,000.00. Subject to eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the one (1) Second Prize winner will receive a $500 gift card intended for the purchase of vehicle electronics, one year's supply of Castrol Tection Extra (36 gallons) and a Castrol apparel prize pack that includes a Castrol jacket, shirt, and hat. ARV: $1,000.00. Total ARV of all Contest prizes: $54,000.00.
Limit: one (1) prize per person/household/business entity. All prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received. Prizes are not assignable and not transferable. No prize substitutions or cash redemptions allowed in whole or in part except as provided herein. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable. All income taxes on prizes are the winners' responsibility. If winner is found to be in violation of any of these rules, he/she will be required to forfeit his/her prize, or, at the Sponsor's discretion, to reimburse Sponsor for the value of the prize if such violation is found after the prize has been used.
5. GENERAL RULES:
Submission of an entry grants Sponsor the right to use, publish, adapt, assign, edit, dispose, and/or modify such entry in any way, in commerce and in any and all media worldwide, without limitation or compensation to the entrant. Submission of an entry further constitutes the entrant's consent to irrevocably assign and transfer to the Sponsor any and all rights, title and interest in and to the entry, including but not limited to all intellectual property rights. By accepting prizes, winners consent to the publication of their names, biographical information, likenesses, their essays and truck photos and, in the case of the Grand Prize winner, all before renovation and after renovation photos of winner's truck, in commerce and in all media worldwide for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation, except where prohibited. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and the voting process and to release BP Lubricants USA Inc., VML, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, partners and agents, and each of their respective officers, employees, directors and shareholders ("Contest Parties") from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest, or the downloading or accessing of entry materials, or the acceptance, possession or use/misuse of any prize awarded herein, or travel to or from, or participation in, any prize–related activity (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).
By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge and agree that the Contest Parties are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human error; technical malfunctions or defects of computer systems or websites utilized in the contest, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alterations of entries; data processing that is processed late or incorrectly; or any entry that is incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, lost, late, unopenable, damaged, corrupted, illegible, incomplete or postage–due or any entry that is submitted in a manner that is not specifically allowed under these Rules; all such entries shall be disqualified. Proof of entering information at Web Site or of mailing entry is not considered proof of delivery or receipt by Sponsor. False and/or deceptive entries or acts of any kind shall render entrants ineligible to receive a prize. Contest Parties are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing or advertising of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of prize(s)/prize winner(s).
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
