Castrol's laboratory program continues to amaze us. Recently, one of our large quarry customers was in the midst of an acquisition. An unbiased party was brought on board to assess operations and act as a liaison between the two companies. One of the items being reviewed was the equipment depreciation schedule. It was noted that, this quarry customer is recording component, equipment and vehicle life that is more than 60% longer than that of the industry average. For a national quarry with close to 3,000 pieces of equipment, the cost benefit to the bottom line probably totals well into the millions.
