The Castrol Lube Advisor is an on–line reference tool that contains various makes and models of heavy–duty equipment and the recommended Castrol lubricants for that equipment. This tool is mainly used by our field engineers, sales specialists and distributors to help customers create a manageable and efficient product platform.
The real value of Castrol Lube Advisor is not in the report it generates, but in how that report is interpreted and implemented. Our field engineers use lube specifications to manage inventory, determine crossover applications, assess bulk equipment needs, make product recommendations and assist in training. At one of our very large quarry customer's sites, our field engineer took the product recommendations from the Castrol Lube Advisor and mapped it to a schematic of each piece of equipment in the customer's fleet. Points and labels showed equipment operators which lubricant went into each compartment. This simple step dramatically reduced the potential for errors and increased the operating efficiency of the equipment.
The Castrol Lube Advisor, combined with the expertise of our field engineering and sales departments, has saved numerous customers time and money in inventory management, product consolidation, bulk equipment and overall equipment maintenance. It is an excellent resource that we are able to use to its fullest potential.
