I HAVE BEEN USING CASTROL GTX OIL FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS
I have two vehicles that I ALWAYS use Castrol GTX oil in. My oldest, 1993 Lexus ES300 has 219,895 miles on it and is running strong! I have not had any problems with oil leaks or smoking, and I owe it to Castrol! I started using Castrol GTX High Mileage 10W/40 after 75,000 miles. My other vehicle is a 2002 Lexus RX300 with 93,856 miles and I've had no problems with it either. I started using Castrol 5W/40 in it, then switched over to Castrol GTX High Mileage. I have always changed the oil myself.
In all I have been using Castrol GTX oil for the past 30 years because, it is simply the very best oil made! I guess this is simply a family tradition passed down from my Dad. When I would ask, "Why do you use Castrol oil?" He would say, "Well Anson somebody has to be the best!" I do not think that I could have put the miles on my car without using good maintenance practices like scheduled oil changes with Castrol.
