You are the hero of motor oils

1977 Ford F-150
Howdy, my name is Dave from the small town of Sheridan Lake, Colorado. I am 18 years old and I have a story to tell you. When I was 16 years old, the day I got my license my dad sold my first truck, a 1995 Ford F150 2x4. That truck was great. I was at my girlfriend's house and I happened to look out the back window and see an old truck sitting in the field buried in weeds, calling my name, "Dave…Dave…help me!!"I immediately went out and took a look at this truck and decided that this wasn't going to work. No truck of its distinction should have to go through the torture of sitting in a field, rusting and rotting while it could be driven over the open road, showing off its refinement. So I immediately ran back into their house and told Jay, my girlfriend's father, that I had to buy this truck. $500 later she was mine.

After sitting in the field after 8 long years she rose again, and I am still driving her to this day. It is a 1977 Ford F–150 4x4 with a 351M and a 3–speed C–6 automatic transmission. I soon learned that this is not the original engine. Same kind but the original blew due to lack of decent oil. It turns out that the oil used originally was the generic crud you can buy at Napa or Wal–Mart. When I found out that he had parked this truck because he was afraid this engine would blow too, I immediately changed directions and turned to the Castrol GTX brand of oil.

I have now owned this truck for about a year and put about 15,000 miles on it. I need to thank Castrol for the help in keeping my truck on the road. Thank you Castrol. You are the hero of motor oils.

Sincerely,

Dave
