I asked them what kind of oil that they used and they replied, Castrol
After buying my 1994 Silverado pickup with a 305 horse power engine, I met some guys at work that raced cars, and I asked them what kind of oil that they used and they replied, Castrol 10–30. So my thought was if this brand of oil was good enough in an expensive race car engine, then it should work real good in my pickup. The truck had 19 miles on it when I purchased it.
As of this past Saturday, the 13th of January, 2007, the mileage was 468,160, and the engine has never been worked on, and it passed the E check that we have in Ohio.
I change my oil every 2000 miles and I feel it is now paying off as I have not had a vehicle payment in over nine years.
