A great year for Castrol Classic Oils Racing!
Castrol Classic Oils is celebrating a great year for John Blanchard and his stable of British classic racing bikes.
John competed in sixteen races at eight separate meetings with a total of eight first place victories, including his ride on the Seeley Matchless 500cc at Hockenheim, placed 2nd six times, 3rd once and retired only once.
All the bikes are run on lubricants from the Castrol Classic range of quality engine, gear and fork oils; providing high levels of protection under the most arduous competition conditions.

John Blanchard started motorcycle racing when he was just 18 years old, soon becoming a very successful professional road racer.
Well known in England as one of the famous “Scratchers” and was one of the first men to lap the Isle of Man TT course at over 100mph on a single cylinder machine.
Also well known in Germany as the rider of the Seeley framed URS/Fath, Solo machine.
