Goodwood Revival Meeting
Grid tactics with Johnny Herbert
‘Team Castrol Classic Oils’ took on the giants at the Goodwood Revival 2005 meeting in September, entering a 1964 Morris Mini Cooper S in the St Mary’s Trophy in association with Rae Davis Racing.
Against awesomely powered competition the diminutive Mini crossed the line in fourth overall place out of nineteen finishers and very close runner-up to the five and seven litre muscle-powered Ford Falcon, Ford Galaxie and Ford Mustang placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Hot on the heels of a 7 litre Ford
With only 1,293cc powering the Mini, the result proved testament to the team’s skilful preparation and the expert driving of Davies and celebrity co-driver Tony Jardine, F1 motor racing broadcaster.
