Castrol Hysol™ AM - the first high performance metalworking fluid designed for both magnesium and aluminium alloys
Industrial Lubricants & Services announces the launch of Castrol Hysol AM, the first water soluble cutting and grinding fluid designed to bring unparalleled compatibility and performance with aluminium and magnesium alloys.
With Castrol Hysol AM it is now possible to machine both metals without sacrificing part quality or incurring unnecessary production delays for machine cleaning and fluid changes.
Extensive laboratory, field and customer tests demonstrate unprecedented levels of compatibility:
Castrol Hysol AM is effective with water hardness in excess of the 3,000ppm typically encountered when machining magnesium alloys.
Castrol Hysol AM resists foaming at high pressures in low water hardness conditions created when machining aluminium.
In addition to the advanced lubricity components, Castrol Hysol AM resists bacteria and fungus that causes rancidity and prevents staining of sensitive magnesium and aluminium alloys.
Castrol Hysol AM also sets new standards in safety and cleanliness.
