ANIL NAGBANSHI is Kolkata’s Castrol Power1 Most Passionate Biker

Anil Nagbanshi beat back tough competition from 120 bikers to win the title of the Castrol Power1 Most Passionate Biker from Kolkata. Anil will represent Kolkata at the All India Finals in New Delhi on 22nd April 2009. The Castrol Power1 Most Passionate Biker competition included a test of biking skills, bike style quotient, biking knowledge and overall passion for biking.

Commenting on his victory, Anil said, “I am absolutely thrilled to win the title of Kolkata’s Most Passionate Biker. I loved every moment of the Castrol Power1 Passion Hunt and am glad that Castrol has given bikers an opportunity like this. This challenge has given me a chance to prove my skills against my fellow riders and I look forward to participating in the finals at Delhi. I will do my best to win the Yamaha R1, which is my dream machine and it will be an honour to receive the same from my biking hero John Abraham.”

It was exciting to see several biking groups like Hell Riders, X Races, XAV and more; from Kolkata participating in the preliminary round with full gusto. The aim of these local biking groups is to build a strong biking fraternity in India.

Giving away the prizes, Sujit Sen- Regional General Manager, East and South Asia Sub Region, Castrol India Limited said, “I am delighted at the response we have got for the Castrol Power1Passion Hunt event in Kolkata. In every city where the Power1 Passion Hunt has been conducted so far, the event has seen keen competition. Post Kolkata, the competition will move on to Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. The regional round winners will then compete against each other at the All India Finals to be held in New Delhi. Castrol Power1’s brand ambassador – actor John Abraham flagged off the Castrol Power1 Passion Hunt in Mumbai on Friday 6th February and he will also be present at the finals in New Delhi to give away the grand prize to the winner. In addition to the on ground event, Castrol Power1 Passion Hunt also has an online component. Bikers can log on to www.power1hunt.com and create their own personal profiles as passionate bikers to showcase the same to the world. On this site, bikers can upload pictures, videos and stories pertaining to biking. Visitors to the site can vote for the online ‘Castrol Power1 Most Passionate Biker’ and this biker will also have an opportunity to participate in the All India Finals in New Delhi. To promote this exciting event, Castrol has partnered with PVR Cinemas and Radio City.
