Castrol’s revolutionary new concept for two-wheeler servicing - Castrol BikeZone – was launched in Hyderabad today by Indian Cricket Captain and Castrol’s Brand Ambassador – Rahul Dravid.

The opening of five Castrol BikeZones across the city marks the beginning of a new and exciting phase in two-wheeler servicing. Whilst inaugurating one of the outlets, Rahul Dravid said, “I have been associated with Castrol now for almost six years and have seen that they are always in the forefront of innovation and cutting edge technology. I am sure that Castrol BikeZone will be yet another success story which will offer consumers the benefit of a world class service experience”.

According to A S Ramchander, Director, Castrol India Limited, “Castrol BikeZone is part of our vision of touching areas of bike care that go beyond lubricants. It is a unique concept in motorcycle servicing that will allow consumers to benefit from the highest standards of servicing. Castrol Bike Zone is differentiated by the key benefits of transparency of service and personalized attention with the assurance of high quality technical service. Therefore, the customer will have “no surprises” at Castrol BikeZone I am confident that we, along with our five business partners in Hyderabad, will successfully bring alive the Castrol BikeZone promise alive to the city’s bikers.”
Castrol BikeZone provides a transparent problem diagnosis of the bike’s problems with the customer fully involved in dialoguing with the mechanic in determining the jobs required to be carried out on the bike. The 3 tiered service menu helps the customer choose the right kind of service for his bike. The pricing is clearly stated for each menu and the customer knows exactly what the cost of the service would be, so that he/ she gets no shocks at the time of billing. The service is best in class, using latest technology equipment and done by expert mechanics trained by Castrol.

The Castrol BikeZone concept was first launched in India in August 2004 and after a successful pilot test in Bangalore and Chennai, the concept is now being rolled out nationally. There are currently 23 Castrol BikeZones operational in four cities, Bangalore, Chennai, Trichy and Mysore and today this network expands to Hyderabad. By end 2006, it is expected that Castrol BikeZones will be operational in 16 cities nationally.
