Executive Director of Castrol India Limited

Mr. A S Ramchander has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Castrol India Limited as Executive Director with effect from January 1, 2005. Mr. Ramchander will be responsible for Sales and Marketing of the predominant automotive business of the company. Castrol India’s automotive lubricant business is among the top few in BP’s lubricant portfolio and is seen as a focus unit.
Mr. Ramchander is a Chemical Engineer and a graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing in various leading Indian companies as well as in Castrol and BP lubricants businesses in India and Asia Pacific region. Ramchander joined Castrol India in 1994 and has performed several regional and global marketing roles in India and Asia Pacific. His last assignment was as Marketing Director for BP and Castrol’s lubricant business in the Asia Pacific Region, operating out of Singapore.
In his current position, Mr. Ramchander will be a member of the Management Team for BP’s Transcon Lubes region which covers South Asia, Africa, Middle East and Turkey.
